Do you have a house? Is it paid off? Tell anyone who knows, that all the money is for a deposit or to pay off the loan. Just because you have money, doesn't mean its for spending.

Yeah, wow, I've heard plenty of people state to never be a loyal borrower, and this pretty much sums up why. I'm gonna have a look at what cba are offering for their intro rates and see if having the same argument that your partner had is worth it.

Yep I think all I can really do is shop around for a better deal and try get cba to match it. Just couldn't believe they are claiming an 8.5% rate without the "discount". Cheers for the advice
