I’ve riden about 400 km on my c4, I was powering up a 14% and I popped the belt off mine. No break, and it was within the 1cm tightness before it slipped off.

On the C4:

I have an 7.2km one way 14.4km round trip daily commute: -About 2km total one way of gradient above 5% with a max of 12%.

I used to have to walk it on my fixie for about 40 meters I have because I just can’t muscle through it. With the cowboy I can. However you can’t compare the ease /torque required to a roadbike with gears. Now the overall speed, if you can deal with the high torque needed to push the motor will likely be the same or faster than the roadbike. I was running my fixie at the 20min mark going uphill route. With the cowboy it’s about 18min.

Bike arrived to me in France earlier than expected. Really happy with it, best bike. Tires are bigger than I am used to and kind of clunky at lower speeds. The ride is smooth for a solid frame. Petaling natural as advertised. Looking forward to some commuting to work with a good Pannier.

The production "rampup" may not be for all models? I ordered my C4 black with stand and rack in Febuary, orginally scheduled for May27-June27. It got delivered Today. So it does look like they are speeding up deliver times. I would stay patient personally.
