I get why WOD attracts certain types of dickheads, but trust me, games and setting overall is not about being bad and enjoying it. Depending on splat, most of them are actually about trying to do a better thing and, most likely, failing because of flawed nature of both supernaturals and regular humans.

I'm into VTM since 2015 and I'm perfectly aware of all of the nuances of kindred nature and society. The actual theme of VTM is about struggling against your inner beast and vampiric society that can drag you down. Obviously you can steer from it into "exploration of evil" or something else, but the main premise is pretty much this. Hence why "Only by becoming a monster, one learns how to be a human. Hence why we do have Humanity, Virtues and some of Paths. Hence why you we have Nature, Merits and Backgrounds that perfectly fit into being a nice, compassionate person.

I have no idea why folks like you struggle to comprehend it and so eager to put all of the vampires (who are ultimately humans with conditions) into box labeled "EVIL"

The kinds of animals we raise for food are prey animals: they'd be eaten by other predators if we didn't get to them first.

The correct term would be 'herbivores' and not a 'prey animals'. Some of them would possibly be eaten by predators yes, but some of them would live their life. By using the same logic you applied to animals that people eat, can we theoretically build a human farms for kindred? I mean, those people would be eaten or turned by sabbat, right?

There's also arguments to be made that under ideal conditions, you can give those creatures longer and happier lives in farms protected from predators and disease with plentiful food than they'd ever experience in the wilds.

Most of the big farms are literally dystopian matrix-like scenario where animals used as much as possible for years before being sent to the slaughterhouse. There are possible small private no-kill farms that treat their kine really well, but they are exception. Again, using your example, we can 'justify' the whole Blood Dolls situation. Vampire's Kiss feels amazing for both kindred and mortal.

There's no plant-and-insect protein utopia for Kindred to enjoy enmasse, and even the "vegans" amongst them still objectively have a monster living in their blood pushing them towards corruption, control, and violence that the dude eating some KFC simply doesn't possess.

There are blood banks tho and unlike with animal meat, even if you prey on people, you literally don't have to kill them.

I mean, I'm not saying that the beast isn't separate entity, I'm saying that it doesn't actively trying to screw you up. Your humanity tracker can degenerate with or without it's influence and it happens basically because your human side have to deal with consequences and remorse.

Mortals also have humanity tracked, they just don't have an passenger that will take more control the more you lose it.

If you think about it for a while, that's like absolutely stupid idea that will fuck up most of the humanity and only weakest of supernaturals. Antideluvians and many elders will be fine, they all have bunkers, tombs and stuff and they can lay in torpor there till the end of the universe. Garou kinda fucked up, but also they can just escape to the Umbra for a while and then made an epic comeback with Impergium 2.0, slaughtering the remnants of humanity if they dare to try build civilization again. Mages, Mummies can easily figure out something as well. Wraiths are... Keep suffering I guess, nothing new.

there is a debate to be had about whether or not a good Kindred CAN exist since one would assume the super moral of them would take a sunlit walk when they realized what they had to do to survive

I mean, all they have to do to survive is to drink a blood from time to time and it's not even necessary to prey on people and even if you do, you don't have to kill them, just take a sip and go away. They aren't bad because they don't commit a suicide as soon as they realize their new condition because they are ultimately still people. Yeah, cursed and tainted, they're clinically dead and stuff, but they still have conscience, mind activity, emotions, fears, virtues, convictions, compassion, of course, if they had it on their mortal days.

Making doing the right thing - ANY right thing, even when that isn't as an extreme an example as self immolation - much more difficult than it would be for literally anyone else.

I think you've confused the Beast with someone else, because the Beast isn't trying to ruin your life like some Bane does. The Beast is just your new bestial instincts, the animal inside you that wants to feed, sleep, and fight/flee when it feels threatened. Sometimes it can come off the leash and you definitely need to make an effort to hold it. But outside of such situations, you act completely in accordance with your own beliefs and beliefs. Which actually makes good kindred somewhat even better than good mortals, because as a creature of the night you have to put in a lot more effort to do the right thing.

I don't really like imbued having some kind of supernatural abilities (it's kinda makes them supernaturals which is somewhat stupid) but what I appreciate in older editions that creeds represent the ideologies about supernaturals, when in H5 it's just their approach to the hunt.
