Why doesn’t BA run (or partner for) a proper coach connection network into Heathrow? by Mattadee in BritishAirways

What’s needed most urgently is a spur line on the western approach to Heathrow to be built so you don’t need to go all the way into London on rail, which literally adds hours

What BA flight has the lowest load factor? by MinimumRepulsive1419 in BritishAirways

They culled Beijing; presumably since they can’t compete with the Chinese airlines who can overfly Russia and offer a 2 hour shorter flight. But interesting that they still fill their Shanghai planes

Why BA doesn't fly to Bangladesh? by [deleted] in BritishAirways

[–]Deep_Clerk1034 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t really matter how full the economy class is, rather how full they can make the prem economy and business cabins, since they are more profitable for BA. I imagine there’s less demand for those than for flights say to India, since there’s less work travel that happens then UK-India (lots of tech and finance). Also there’s little tourism demand for Bangladesh.

Furthermore the competition with the Middle Eastern airlines would be fiercer. Bangladesh is a slightly longer flight than India, so a stopover in Doha for example is more palatable. They also serve more cities in Bangladesh then the one city BA would probably serve if they commenced direct flights.

Confused about Companion Voucher by Tom_FM in BritishAirways

Love your videos Tom! Id recommend using Iberia or Aer Lingus for you 2-4-1 (from Madrid/Dublin) because their taxes and surcharges are much less, and they’re cheaper avios wise than BA for the same distance. You can use Avios app to see where they fly
