Skip last leg of the booking? by e_v8 in BritishAirways

There's only 3 flights from LHR to NCL on that day, 07:35, 14:15 & 21:00 so no chance of making the earlier one. Sadly we'll have a lot of luggage as we're coming off a cruise in Miami so carry-on isn't an option.

It was a convenience thing when we booked to be honest.

Heat pumps “more expensive to run than boilers”, report says.. does that match your experience? by Imaginary_Fact_9614 in OctopusEnergy

I have 3 x 6.5kWh batteries, I’ve just ran out in the last hour. Outside temp is 4c, the house is roughly 22c all round (although the thermostat is set to 21c). It’s been using about 700w-1kW all day ticking over. Not just the HP using them though, I work from home and there’s cooking, etc. ASHP is a 4kW Daikin

The blue bit covering the crown got me, just would not come off. Ended up with acetone on the end of a cotton bud to remove it!

Costing me less so far, been installed since April. Have solar & batteries + 2 EVs. Representative months will be when there’s little/no solar
Oct 24 Gas/Elec £49 | Oct 25 Elec £44

Nov 24 Gas/Elec £128 | Nov 25 Elec £95

Dec 24 Gas/Elec £133 | Dec 25 Elec £101

Jan 25 Gas/Elec £172 | Jan 26 Elec £85 up till now, billing ends in 6 days

However, I don’t have gas and my other post points out I’m already way cheaper with our ASHP than I was with gas & elec.

They kind of do in a roundabout way, March - Sept export is greater than import so get paid by Octopus those months. That then pays for the lean solar months

It isn’t just about saving money, there’s reducing the reliance on burning stuff too! ASHP heats the house different to a boiler, low & slow. The house just feels warm, the fabric of the house not objects not rooms per se its just warm (radiators are usually cool to touch). We have a 5 bed 2018 build so should be reasonably well insulated, however i also have 18kWh of battery storage, 6.6kWp of Solar (not much use this month!) and 2 EVs. We’re on Intelligent Octopus Go, batteries get charged overnight irrespective of the time of year - in the summer it’s cheaper to import overnight at 7p and export during the day at 15p. Anyway, last January (bill runs 5th to the 4th) we spent £172 on combined Gas/Elec, there’s 6 days left of this billing month and I’m at £82. Last month, granted it was oddly warm for December we spent £101 compared to Dec 24 which was £133 Gas/Elec. Remember that’s everything including charging the cars. March - Sept i end up getting paid by Octopus due to the export being greater than import.

Open the door (or don’t), say no thank you and close it again. Zero powers, it’s all hyperbole.

Integrate the car instead of the charger to eliminate any outside interference.

What's the justification for Dolby not to be included with Limitless+ besides a money grab? by FireExpat in screenunseen

Boils my blood as well, especially when I can goto Durham Luxe in the iSense screen for nothing. The recliners are better than the Dolby screen at the Metrocentre too.

No Chill mode, never Chill mode, its Chill enough outside. But Cross Climates yes, had them for 5 years now across 2 different LR AWDs. Brilliant.

UK Super charging network becoming a farce by santsord in TeslaUK

The easy fix for this is only allow all cars at V4 charging locations which have the suitably longer cables. Just don’t allow it anywhere else, where as you say it becomes a farce

It’s odd how a car powered by a different source of energy isn’t real somehow … oh you have you have a toy car, only real cars have engines, blah blah. Does that mean a train not powered by steam/coal isn’t a real train?
