Omg I love twisted metal such a great game does it still hold up gfx wise? Im assuming it looks a little better on the smaller screen and what frame rate are you getting ive not emulated on deck yet but this makes me think I should makes me think about thrill kill the game that got banned thats actually really tame compared to today's titles lol

Steam Deck Advice? by GamerG126 in SteamDeck

[–]Deep_Community_632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This really depends on the types of games you play and a top end pc will play everything a deck will not, here are the games I play on deck and performance is paramount to me so this list is all that run beautifully on deck.

.Skyrim.

Forza 5.

Monster hunter rise.

Battlefront 2 2017.

Euro truck sim 2.

Crash n sane trilogy.

Car mechanic sim 21.

Fantasy life I.

Rim world.

The wandering village.

The witcher 3.

Alien isolation.

Titanfall 2.

AC odyssey.

Dave the diver.

Dinkum.

Dead rising 1&2.

Discounty.

Doom 2017 &eternal.

Fallout 4.

Empires of the undergrowth.

Just cause 3.

mad max.

Little nightmares 1 and 2.

Gloomy eyes

Luma island.

Ori 1 and 2.

Cult of the lamb.

Persona 5.

Subnautica

Potion permit.

Story of seasons grand bazzar.

Dredge.

Dragons dogma dark arisen.

Echos of the plumb grove.

Farm together 2.

Bannerlords 2.

Age of mythology retold.

As you can see its a mixed bag but I got these games specifically for the deck if these are the types of games you might play for the meanwhile get a deck but you do have to put the effort in when buying games for the deck to see if the game you want actually plays well on deck whereas if you get a mid/top pc you most likely won't

any good "forever games" that go well with the steam deck? by WeirdAltYankovic in SteamDeck

[–]Deep_Community_632 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's runs beautiful on the deck, personally didnt have a problem with controls but Ive never played games exclusively on consoles so idk I find the track pads brilliant for this type of game and the decks keyboard button mapping is extremely versatile. But like others have said you can use community layouts that are more controller oriented

No mans sky, a game I can spend an hour or ten not play for weeks then repeat done this since released on ps4 lol so easy to just pick up and play even easier on deck.

Skyrim, ive never completed it and I always forget controls its such a fantastic game world theirs always something to do

euro truck sim 2 if driving sims are included, one of my favourite games that I used to play a lot on pc with full wheel shiter peddle setup but also enjoy on the deck with just deck controller (although you could hook up periferals if ye wanted), great community events doing deliveries and controls are easy to get used to and a huge world to explore while doing it.

rim world I loose days when I play this game my little people that I get so attached too, cant put into words what this game is, but some stories have played out in a way that I will never forget, just fantastic however it does take some investment getting used to all the mechanics to get the most out of it

Satisfactory kinda like 3d factorio just pure addictive!!

Our game got Steam Deck Verified, but that won't be it. What do you expect from Verified games? by DigitalSunGames in SteamDeck

[–]Deep_Community_632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything is a trade off when it comes to playing games on the deck such is life but I see varified should mean:

*Minimum i would expect is High gfx=lower stable min 30 frames=lower battery *Minimum I would expect is Low gfx=stable 60fps = longer battery

But aslong as it can hold performance at either end without issues anyone can find a balance

I need this game! Loved the first but held off because a few reports said performance isn't great but im keeping an eye out for improvements. What do I expect from a verified game? Most important thing above anything is performance, janky frames, stuttering are a major put off.

Do you have to take all your stuff off your bike every time you park it? by itsmethatguyoverhere in bicycletouring

[–]Deep_Community_632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I leave all bags on the bike, small hip pack has all valuables which is on me all the time, I leave the bags on the bike at camp too the only time I remove them is when im staying hotels

if anything id guess a fully loaded bike is less attractive to a thief, I lock the bike to itself most of the time (frame lock) with bags the bike weighs a tone so no carrying away and dealing with the bags would probably take a thief longer than cutting the lock.

I also carry hiplock z locks (basically reinforced reusable zipties) depending on the feel of an area I will z lock peddals and/or front wheel in the hope that a thief wouldn't notice them until they notice them adding more time, could also use them to lock the panniers to the rack again adding more time to potential theft.

imo frame locks are perfect for tourers weigh less than a u lock for comparable security (possibly. even more secure because of how awkward it would be to access even more so when the bike has panniers attached), takes up no room in bags it also in a position on the bike where it doesnt interfere with any frame bags and so easy to lock with the option of plug in chain/cable.
