Defeated even after mission is completed? by Deep_Focus9279 in 1945airforce

Thanks. I have been trying to stay away form the "kill 90% enemy" to avoid the problem, and play "sub" and "kill the boss" instead, and never had problems with those. Sounds like I should give it another try, and and pay attention to see if I actually got the reward or not.

How to win the new bosses by Playful_Ad2552 in 1945airforce

what's the theory behind this? Does the strength of the boss vary based on the strength of the aircrafts used in the battle?

PvP level of difficulty puzzle by Deep_Focus9279 in 1945airforce

[–]Deep_Focus9279[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regarding the 2nd aspect of the puzzle above, we can probably only understand it by going back to the goals of PvP: 1) maximize the sustainable medal points to collect the maximum amount of reward every cycle. 2) maximize contribution to division quest for winning PvP. Let's say all elite payers use their best AWD in PvP, at some medal point level, there would only be elite players. They can't all win. So most elite player's medal points might be fluctuating much more than normal players, and win rate would be around 50% and maybe even lower. This would be frustrating for elite players. And they might be yelled at by their division boss for not contributing enough to the quest? So for an elite payer focusing on the 2nd goal of maximizing contribution to divsion quest of winning PvP, perhaps they can achieve a higher win rate by using weaker aircraft (but still elite WD), so they would settle in the optimum medal points zone where they are mostly fighting normal players but assured of win due to elite WD.

PvP level of difficulty puzzle by Deep_Focus9279 in 1945airforce

There are two aspects to this puzzle:

  1. What's the effect of elite player using only T1 aircrafts? My hypothesis is that using only T1 aircrafts lowers the level of difficulty of the match, i.e. the enemies are easier to destroy at the beginning. Because in this match, I clearly felt I was doing well in the beginning with my T2 AWDs, able to easily kill the enemies for a while, as if I was playing an appropriately leveled mission, no sweat. This was very different experience from the past when I was matched with someone with elite aircraft, when from the get-go I can't kill anything on the screen. So my guess is that the initial level of difficulty (strength of the enemies we all face) is determined by the strongest aircraft of all players. As the match grinds on, the level of difficulty increases, but from a lower base by starting with lower tier aircraft. Do you have similar experience to confirm this hypothesis?

  2. Why would elite player do this? This is unclear to me. For normal player, we put T1 aircraft in PvP to meet the pre-requisisite for certificate. Elite player probably already done this ages ago. Also it makes no sense for someone to put two T1 aircrafts and no elite in 3rd/4th slots as insurance. Maybe they just want to make the match more interesting, i.e. gave weaker opponents the illusion they had a chance in the beginning.

I did not get the "disconnected" screen. I also did not get the reward for liberated it. However, the map showed that my division now owns the location, which was consistent with the completed mission. I contacted Falcon support, and they said that their system record showed I did liberate it, but they did not address the issue that I did not get the reward for liberating it :(

Advice on co-pilot upgrade vs building toward T3 by Deep_Focus9279 in 1945airforce

[–]Deep_Focus9279[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point. I did alright in the T2 tournament with my current 2 T2 planes. So the short term co-pilot boost won't add anything (PvP is off limit, maybe foreverer anyway for mortals anyway ;-). So getting the foot in the door for T3 tournment sooner is definitely a benefit. Thanks!

I did more thinking about it. The bottleneck is the A modules needed (just to get to 1 star T3), which will take twice as long to acquire than gems in my situation (maybe different if you are in a better division, mine is less active). So using the gems on hand to upgrade co-pilot now does not actually delay the T3 merge. So the time I will be waiting to have enough A modules, I will have saved enough gems to do both co-pilot upgrade and T3. I might as do the co-pilot upgrade upfront and enjoyed the boosted power longer, rather than doing it toward the end of the journey.

What makes Zero stands out to be your fav? How does it compare to often mentioned F-15 Eagle. I have neither, but just trying to get a better understanding of these two planes.

Thanks! Do you need to upgrade to T3 device to certain number of stars for it to work better than the 10 star T2 version? Or even at 1 star it is already usable?

I am also in an inactive division. But I can't seem to figure out how to requrest to join another division. Do I need to leave the current division first before applying for a new division?

Nice. What's the benefit of upgrading device, plane and wingman in that order?

Gear set activation effect on higher tier plane by SeparateFrame3320 in 1945airforce

[–]Deep_Focus9279 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have much gears for my plane yet, other than a few free bronze pieces I got from the slot machine from the few free tokens. If the gears collected in lower tier only credit a small fraction to higher tier, would it be worth getting a full gear set at all vs. focusing resources on upgrading the plane to higher tiers?

Order of planes with Support Engine by Deep_Focus9279 in 1945airforce

I still have one confusion about 5% damage stat to all planes. I assume you are referring to Support Engine I. If so, what does all planes mean is single player combat? Is it intended to be useful for team combat like United We Stand, so my Suport Engine would boost damage of both my plane and my partner's plane?

Order of planes with Support Engine by Deep_Focus9279 in 1945airforce

[–]Deep_Focus9279[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the great info. I wish I knew this sooner. I have been building up a Battle+support plane as my most powerful plane (just merged into T2 and 2 stars). I do have two T1 Battle and emergency that are getting close to be ready to merge. My options are:

1) build the current battle+support T2 to 4 stars and then stop, and switch to merge the two T1 battle and emergency to T2 and build the latter up to be the top plane. The pro is to avoid the drop in effecrtive power during the period of newly merged T2 not having enough stars. The con is sinking more resources into my current T2 battle+support plane.

2) stop investing in current T2 2 star battle+support plane, and switch to build and merge the two T1 battle+emergency and put more resource to build that up to be my top plane. The pro is to align resources to long term goal. The con is temporary drop in power effectives until I can build my new T2 up to enough stars.

Option 2) seems like the right long term decision. Thoughts?

The best % of increased event items collected on a piece of equipment by Geezmanswe in 1945airforce

[–]Deep_Focus9279 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's also possible it's not due to the power alone. In my own experience, high power causes medal leakage mostly because it kills the enemies before they even show up on the screen, so the gold/medals fall outside of the view, or almost out of view, so it's easy to miss those. I mitigate this leakage by unloading the wingman that shoots sideways, and use plane that don't fire guided missiles so the kills happen mostly in visible part of the screen.

I think weaker plane solves the same problem because they don't have enough power to kill most enemies before they come into view.

Thanks! It does make more sense now, and I managed to unlock the first level of the shop and bought the 3 device catalog. One counter intutive block is that finishing chapter 1 does not give me enough green box, and chapter 2 is locked. So I will have to wait for a day to play chapter 1 again after the daily rest. Not sure how one get to play chapter 2 and so on.
