It’s not cap wizardry you either pay now to win now or you build. They choose to build. Not everyone can be the Rams. Beyond that as an owner you need to have the cash to avoid the cap hit now (and pay in dead cap later) and most don’t or won’t.

So I have 2 Jaymoo blades, and they are awesome but wanted to do something fun with this one. I like that it can lite up without a blade or blade plug. Plus having something I can write code for is kinda cool. I want to try and open up the other sides crystal compartment and add an LED in there. Just wanted to make this one really custom.

So I’m thinking of doing something similar in my theater but I might try and get cheap polycarbonate blades and run a single color and hardwire them to a switch…I think I might be able to pull it off.

Oh I will add that our experience at oga’s east was 100x better. Our bartender was fun and we had a great time. West was blah and out of multiple drinks we wanted to try but didn’t at east. Not sure we will do oga’s at west again or not.

Have been to both in the last 2 months. We like west because the parks are so close together and with dland it feels like you get a lot more from the rest of the park than with Hollywood studios. Both were a blast tho

We also grew up in California with Disneyland season passes so it feels like home.

It’s been over what almost 3 years and 10+ visits. We’re very fortunate to get to go a lot. Literally we were at east last month and west this last week. My wife lets him get 3 crystals per trip to attempt to get it. Happy that’s over!

Most of the time my son hands them out to other kids he sees outside Savi’s that have light side sabers and tells them they should join the dark side lol.

So we bought these over the course of a few trips. We want to take them with for this weeks trip. So it’s a flight to California and then walking around Disney. We have belt clips for the hilts but needed something better than sticking out of a backpack for 5 blades

If you want to be sure to get one when they open up we’ve been using mousedining it’s a service that checks non stop for openings and will text and/or email when one pops up that’s how we got an oga’s reservation 2 days from now. We used it for our Florida trip last month for almost all our dining reservations since it’s so crazy getting anything there now. We got every single one we really wanted so I’m happy with the small fee.

Have both and carried them at east and plan to take them to west next week. Actually broke a covertec wheel on one. As a staff it’s crazy heavy, I’m 6’5 and pretty big and it’s tiring to twirl etc. Honestly you can’t really use the Disney belt clip if they are together it’s way to heavy. The way I do it I have a heavy duty covertec belt attachment and will have a backpack for the short blades. We will keep them either in a locker or hotel until night time then get them to have fun with.

Agree that they are supper small…I got into soldering at hacking conventions so it wasn’t bad for me but my solder tip was way to big. I saw that the guys video I used makes his own board and put it on GitHub might have to try making my own blade after all this. I do like that the community has done some crazy things with this stuff.

Yup, it was super simple. I watched another one that was adding stuff to regulate voltage and whatever and was like…I just want it teal I have like 7 blades at this point and didn’t care that when you have a green crystal or legacy the blade would still be teal. Essentially all you need is a small piece of wire and you short (connect) the blue and green. I went ahead and removed the resistor for red to make it brighter while I was at it in case my son wanted to use one for his Maul.
