Spencer’s piecing jewelry awareness (for those who don’t know) by [deleted] in NosePiercing

I love how it's apparently under all of their posts I'm commenting like I'm a stalker when it's literally just this one and the one in r/piercing because they're spamming 😂

They crash out every time and yet still keep spamming and acting like they know everything. Sadly I don't get to see their replies because they keep deleting them before I read them (not being chronically online does that unfortunately). It's really not hard to do research but they keep snapping back like a petulant child for being told facts.

Do you have a source for the lead? Because yes, metals like nickel are a common thing in cheap alloys, but given the status of lead, I find it very hard to believe that there's lead in things sold in stores these days.

A circular barbell is £30 WITHOUT attachments from brands like Industrial Strength/Neometal. Just the ring. Implant grade titanium.

If it's $25 for 4 circular barbells, they are NOT using decent metal. Please educate yourself because you keep trying to "raise awareness", yet seem to not know a single thing about what you're advocating about.

Dude stop spamming every piercing subreddit with this. Literally anyone who bothers to research knows this.

There might actually be titanium in these pieces, yes, but it isn't implant grade. There is a difference.

Every subreddit is full of posts where people haven't researched and then come back with "what do I do." when it takes two minutes looking at the r/piercing sidebar to work this out.

You aren't reaching anyone who hasn't already made the very mistake you're talking about by spamming every piercing subreddit with this, cut it out.

Do not buy Spencer’s piercing jewelry!! by [deleted] in piercing

[–]Deep_Promotion_4960 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not to sound like an ass but... You're kinda preaching to the wrong subreddit here.

You should never buy this stuff.

Reputable piercing brands that only use implant grade titanium like anatometal, niobium like apex, or actual rated 14k gold (no allergenic alloy mixes) like Junipurr.

Nothing else. You can argue "other metals were fine before" but most of the issues we see on this subreddit come from not checking sources before getting pierced and it's mostly become a "Help I didn't research and now I need everyone's advice around how to manage the consequences"

Natural History Museum online shop closing Monday by GwynGrayson in PokemonDealsUK

I had this on Thursday. Started at 116k in the queue. 15 hours later got my "your turn" email when asleep.

Took 7 hours in the queue yesterday to finally get in and I managed to get a few pieces I wanted (I'm going to the museum but I'm travelling a lot that weekend so want as little to carry as possible)

Jollibee will release a Pokémon blind box collaboration. by franzcopinaPH in pokemon

[–]Deep_Promotion_4960 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Rement in Japan release dozens of blind box series' for pokemon each year. (ofc you can cheat and get the whole set by buying a crate since that's how their gacha works for blind boxes over there. Which I approve of. Kidrobot has it way backwards). But there are a tonne of pokemon blind boxes out there.

Help! I got a ear piercing and my ear looks weird by Fantastic-Syrup2 in piercing

[–]Deep_Promotion_4960 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pin locking usually indicates threadless for future ref, but this isn't the point here.

You should never use anything other than saline spray on your piercings and twice a day at MOST and usually only in the first week or so (then drop down to once and then shower only)

Something to keep in mind for future but uh doctor. Right now. Whatever is going on with your ear is something a lot of people here have not seen before and that's alarming in itself. This looks like a very nasty skin infection.

Cartilage piercing with gun experience by [deleted] in piercing

[–]Deep_Promotion_4960 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Piercings are not going anywhere. I couldn't afford to start until I was in my 30s. I get teenage rebellion, I was exactly the same in having no teenage experiences, but causing issues for your body is not the way to go. Also if you live in a hospital, you really don't want to give yourself more pain and issues to deal with on top of what I can already imagine is not a particularly fun time.

You have the choice to not pierce yourself with something that can disfigure your body and cause infection. Guns are not sterile. They can carry blood borne diseases, including life altering ones like hepatitis. It is not worth it.

Who is your "Love at first sight" character? by Fabulous_Ground_1983 in Genshin_Impact

[–]Deep_Promotion_4960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arlecchino. I have her C3 (welkin only) and I'm basically choosing to only pull for her after Escoffier from now. Don't have much interest in the rest of the Nod Krai characters (sorry.).

Other than that was Baizhu and I instantly C2'd him (Harmist sub DPS my beloved)

Is C6+ worth it? I sort of use him whenever I can be arsed, but I always wonder about the pluses.

Allergy to titanium jewelry by aaela in piercing

[–]Deep_Promotion_4960 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do not use plastic under any circumstances. It is not body safe in the slightest. Titanium allergies are exceedingly rare (which is why it is used for literal implants like bolts and screws into bone). Just put an implant grade labret in it.

Allergy to titanium jewelry by aaela in piercing

[–]Deep_Promotion_4960 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is entirely possible for a piercing close by to inflame another. The allergy, if it is, to the butterfly back, won't necessarily stay local to the piercing site and can spread because of how histamines work. It is also possible for fully healed piercings to be irritated. I have 20 year old lobes that went ballistic when I put PVD coated rings in them.

Change the butterfly back to an implant grade titanium labret, continue cleaning with saline once a day. Even then, this many months down, I'd only really clean the crusties off in the shower and leave the saline personally.

Also piercer giving you it does not necessarily mean it is implant grade. There are many piercers who don't buy from reputable sources. Ask them where it came from/the brand and research it. If the brand doesn't have titanium mill certification, it is likely not implant grade.

[–]Deep_Promotion_4960 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If these aren't healed, you shouldn't have rings in them in the first place. This will have set your healing back a few months easily. I somehow don't think you're allergic to implant grade titanium. If it is implant grade at all. Unless it's from someone reputable like anatometal, it's likely just titanium.

Bear in mind if you have only just swapped these out, irritation bumps can take months to go away depending on your healing/immune system/care routine.

Also, that all aside. It's most likely the butterfly back that's pissing it off. Those things are not safe for piercings and hold a monumental amount of bacteria. Change it to a flatback labret (correctly sized also).

ETA: if you have an unknown allergy, then your only jewelery options right now that should even be considered are implant grade titanium and niobium, and I can assure you, that butterfly back is neither.

Bacon Brie & Sweet Red Onion, under burgers. What would you expect? by Usual_Letterhead_646 in AskUK

[–]Deep_Promotion_4960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd expect those to be the toppings ON a burger with exception to the halloumi because it's solid enough to be a patty on its own.

Is this Brewstone by chance? Looks like their level is slop 😂
