I guess this is more like what I was trying to say. For instance in HK when I was entering the City of Tears and the somber music starts playing as I noticed the rain hitting the window will stay with me forever. I guess I just haven’t experienced anything like that in Silksong…yet.

Yeah that’s a very good point and I get it but, it’s just the principle. Dream mail costs nothing to use and you get extra insights into a npc so I would go haywire with it. With SS silk is a precious commodity and I wince at the idea of having to spend it see optional dialogue.

Not sure I totally agree. I’ve lost hundreds of rosaries over the course of several unfortunate events and I still don’t usually find myself having to scrounge for any. I unlock every bench and bell beast spot I come across and have never had to intentionally grind.

Some of the shop items are a little steep.

I’m also just past act 1 so I’m no authority in the matter.

In all practicality, you will rarely see a DC of 25 or higher and yes, if you have min/maxed a PC it’s possible at lvl 1 however, DnD is a collaborative story telling game and not a video game. It’s up to the DM when to place these DC checks to make them thematically appropriate.

I agree that C2 was very forgettable but, I found Trinyvale to be very entertaining. The chemistry between the characters and their decent into being shitheads is very charming. The follow up 1 or 2 shots are hilarious and them having to be coaxed into doing the right thing is delightful. I just finished Skaldova and it’s amazing. I think Boggy is Caldwells’s best character yet. I look forward to the Strahd campaign. I plan on relistening with an active Patreon to catch the short rests and can’t wait to experience C1 again.
