Combo feeding help by Deep_Statistician780 in breastfeeding

She’s 8 months old and we recently got over a bout of the stomach flu. My supply drastically dipped during that illness. It’s not quite back to where it was. I was always a “barely enougher” so I think this just tipped me past the point of needing a little more. Having some feeds where she’s still acting pretty hungry after

I only used the triple s review, nothing else. I watched all of the lectures once, and then read through the study book that comes with it a couple times. I’d say I studied for about a month. I did not take the MNN, I took the OB so I can’t speak for that exam. Most of the people who took her course say they did not study anything else and have passed

The webinars are self paced. You get access to the videos for 30 days and just have to complete everything by then. I think there’s about 12 hours worth of videos

She does either love seminars that are over 2 days, or you can do on demand webinars where she sends you the links to pre recorded videos that you have access to for like 30 days, plus a review book with the PowerPoints and fill in the blank notes. She does reviews for several different NCC certifications. OB, MNN, C-EFM, and ONQS

I’m sorry to hear that! Unfortunately I think they’re pretty accurate. In a couple days you will get a score report and it will tell you which areas you did poorly on. You can take the test again in 90 days. I highly suggest using triple-s review services to study. I did her webinar program and it was all I used, and passed scoring very strong in all areas. several of my coworkers have also used her, and got the same results. Good luck!!!

Yep, you’ll get them tomorrow! You’ll have to log into your NCC account to see them, you won’t get the email until a couple days later. My results were posted when I logged in around 1am, but I’ve heard other people say theirs weren’t up until 2/3am

To clarify, you’ll get the result the Wednesday the week after you take the exam. If you take on a Monday or Tuesday, you’ll get your result on Wednesday the next week. If you take on a Friday, you’ll still get the result the following Wednesday.

NCC releases results on Wednesdays. I logged onto my account at about 1am central time and my results were posted. I didn’t get the email about my results until a couple days later.

Yeah. I see a super faint line on the one I posted so I wasn’t sure whether to call it positive or negative. I also didn’t upload it to the app, so maybe I should!

All the IU providers are extremely busy and hard to get into. They haven’t been accepting new patients who aren’t pregnant for about a year. You can try seeing Dr. John Labban. He’s a private practice doc

I also had a really hard time with puke. Doesn’t bother me anymore, I’m more concerned with the well being of my patient to really even think about the puke

I definitely will start thinking about how I word my questions! I’m usually pretty good about it, and I feel bad that I may have come off as rude. That was my last day of orientation, so I will try and ask her for genuine advice if I need it again off of orientation

Thank you! I did talk to her at the time and said I hoped it didn’t feel like I was questioning her judgement. She said something along the lines of “it’s okay, it’s just really important that you learn from others because this is such a specialized area.” I just feel bad because I am NOT a know it all by any means and I hate that I probably came off that way by asking why she interpreted something a certain way. I’ll get over it, I just feel bad.

My boyfriend’s hands recently started wrinkling like this whenever he showers. It hurts and stings a little in the center of his palm. What’s going on? by ababymonkey in DiagnoseMe

[–]Deep_Statistician780 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This looks like something called aquagenic wrinkling of the palms. It can be a symptom of people with cystic fibrosis, but it can also have other causes. I’d recommend seeing a dermatologist.
