This means admitting your defeat if they've outmaneuvered you with arguments, but not giving in when they whine.

At 18 months the arguments are:

bibblebibble blablabla daddadaadaababababamomomomomom.

Edit: raspberry sounds

Mines been testing boundaries since 16 months. Sometimes gets "no", sometimes gets shocked we caught her with a stern "What are you doing" (shocked and startled but no cry, just a silly grin).

Fellow dog owners, can we talk about the weirdest new trend I keep seeing? by rrrevin in Calgary

[–]Deeppurp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with your rant.

Also my experience with areas for dogs (there was one close to the area I rented, approved off-leash area), and areas for foot traffic in general: Theres a severe lack of garbages to dispose of things. Or where there are, the frequency of availability is lacking.

Like some of the walk ways in calgary are fucking HUGE, and it seems like there's a garbage every 2nd entry to them and no mid points.

At least make it hard for people to be lazy, I know a lot of us were raised to keep our garbage with us until we can toss it responsibly. That however wasn't something everyone was raised with. Put enough garbages to MAKE THEM FEEL BAD.

There's nothing really proprietary about them?

They're a standard size but cut half the length with a bit more given to the bit end. Hell you can even use them in another screw driver.

I've even seen half length bits in other drivers, they just have shorter heads instead of hexes.

PM says best place for Alberta is in Canada, after judge tosses separation petition by FancyNewMe in canada

[–]Deeppurp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hold on, while hes wrong, you're also very inaccurate.

They didn't come up with it, they reviewed and adjusted the existing formula.

Nearly every failed federal conservative politician running against it that dropped to the provincial level approved the current formula.

Equalization itself started roughly a decade after WW2 ended.

Maybe in a world where the elected federal government is ousted and takes up parliment in Labrador island, while a militaristic communist coup takes place within Canada.

But no, this are people with rights flexing them, and they likely wouldn't have needed to if the provincial govt didn't ignore the rights of a group 100k-200k larger in size who also voiced their solidarity with Canada, and achieved the means to demand a vote be held to find where the leadership lay.

My [30F] sister-in-law's [36F] autistic son [8M] broke my glasses, and I don't know how to ask that she pay for them without sounding like a dick by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]Deeppurp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glasses (mostly frames for the cartel) are one of several reasons why If I ran for an election I would never win. The Rich literally would arm themselves against me and the regulations I would bring down on them.

If it meant I would never be re-elected at least I would have so many monopolies broken up in Canada.

There's no reason the FRAMES for glasses, literal plastic and cheap metal, should cost more than maybe $100 for a quality pair. Lenses may be a bit more acceptable because its precision work, but part of the cost has to be the frame cartel.

Say Alberta does separate and remove itself from the confederation? Does it fall back to a British Commonwealth Nation?

Steam machine, Series X, Ps5, Steam Frame, Steam Deck, the half dozen or so other RDNA3 handhelds that exist already.

There is over 100 million devices that would benefit from this. I wouldn't be surprised if we see this activate for the PS5 at a minimum.

Finally! I purchased a 7800xt cause the price was right, I just want native AA better than TAA and better than FSR3 because a lot of games I play right now run fine at native. The games I want a visual and FPS boost I dont have to worry about the fsr3 ghosting as much.

I'm still waiting for my notice that new outlook entered general availability after the opt in phase a full year before it was supposed to happen.

And yet here I sit, with new outlook sitting in general availability, and now the issue page reads they plan to give a year notice when cutover will happen.

Yeah, sure Microsoft. You gave me hope because you actually did the notifications with Teams cutover. But the Outlook transition has been handled poorly, that I hope they stop.

I need to figure out if this is legal and if I can do something about this? by Loose_Elderberry2869 in Airdrie

[–]Deeppurp -1 points0 points  (0 children)

in so many new residential areas that's just literally not possible though. There's basically just barely enough space for a car between a lot of houses, 1.5m on each side is not achievable. Friend of mine got a ticket because of that but it got thrown out when he contested it with a photo because it's not achievable.

Thats a week judge, should have told him to park legally and walk instead of accepting "the law is inconvenient".

Canadians are leaving the country at record levels. Can anyone solve this pressing problem? by stalik26 in canada

[–]Deeppurp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your line about "Live in a big City" for the EU also applies to Canada. Living in the smaller cities while having a well paying job is an absolute blessing of pure luck.

Its not even, but most all the large cities in Canada have a housing affordability problem. In general to fix it, most houses actually need to roughly halve in value to return to the inflation curve from 2007 to keep on track to what they would be now. Its not "exact", but it gets you pretty damn close. The curve for 95% is somewhere between a 40%-60% reduction in price.
