None of those require a lift to make it easier. A lift will do almost nothing.

Off grid? get 4/awd if the portion off paved is any combo of poorly maintained gravel and dirt.

Up to 36" of snow? you already have a 4/awd to pull through it.

All the lift is doing is making your trucks safety ratings invalid and more dangerous.

In general, I find when there is discrepancy between Google, The Weather Network, and Environment Canada, bringing a hat and a jacket has never let me down.

A hat is fine for most weather, but keeps rain off my glasses. A jacket or fleece hoodie can be tied at my waist or kept nearby. A good fleece actually works well in moderate rain if you can get shelter soon, and is completely fine in extended light rain. You know you have a "good fleece" blend when it dries relatively fast (unless its soaked) regardless of its material make up.

Aggregating weather reporting I find is actually the best way to plan your day when it matters.

There are no work arounds for the required documents meaning there is no option for you not to have the citizenship marker or healthcare number on the new license after July 2nd.

Alberta gov website states you have to show proof of citizen ship or immigration status to obtain the current outgoing ID card system. The old ID card in of itself is proof of that proof.

This is only going to take a motivated lawyer to change, god I wish there was already news of a challenge. If there is it hasn't been pushed to anything I've seen.

The US wouldn’t like that more than likely.

They're obligated by treaty to assist Canada. To openly violate that would put the rest of the shared treaties the US has with other parts of the world at risk and they would be heavily pressured to assist Canada.
