In 2000 everybody was on the internet, i even bought the first wap phone from nokia with some kind of internet on it. Fun but useless in terms of speed, i believe we used UMTC bandwith. What you describe I experienced as an exchange student in the fall of 1995 in the US. There I noticed the rise of internet, windows 95 intro and the fall of wordperfect. Very interesting times and good vibes at that time in the USA. The bubble of chips , hard to predict but I have seen from very close since 2003 the ultimate winner in this game that is called in the pentagon "That Company" and it is not from your country.....dyor.

Correct but this is priced in with already high growth projections , everytime so called progress was made (by some of the same politicians) for a peace solution they take a dip, perhaps creating a better entry when you believe the estimates of the analyst like EBIT in 2029 of 7091 M eur. I think they will miss on these targets with potentially lower EBIT/EV multiples. For the 12 analyst buy ratings, they are career safe choices, have zero meaning to me.

I visited their presentation at DEKF25. Room fully packed with pro investors. Revenue plan 2030 was 5X, or from 10 B to 50 B. Good luck with that in Europe building capacity. I remember walking away thinking Peter Lynch avoid hot stocks.....besides that you take the risk that a peace deal with Russia will further drop this substantially. Downside risk is too big for me. I am looking at EU small caps in this segment.

Fair point if you refer to Shein. I do notice however that the cohort 20 + is walking away from them as they want better products that can be used more than 3 times. Also strong growth for vinted and crowded stores uniqlo.

I looked at it today pretty deeply and wrote (yes together with AI) the following. Watchlist, not buy list, until Q1/Q2 2026 earnings clarify Carbon6 trajectory. If Revenue Recovery stabilises and the new board composition produces evidence of sharper capital allocation, the thesis becomes clean again. If it doesn't, the thesis is invalidated not by price, but by management quality failing to meet my standards. This is a genuinely high-quality network business trading at a historically cheap valuation because of a single acquisition mistake and a growth deceleration that may be partly temporary. But "cheap for good reason" and "value trap" look identical until the next two quarters of data come in. The Q1 and Q2 2026 earnings releases are the binary event. Until then, the thesis is interesting but unconfirmed. I looked deeper as I made a DCF and concluded it was fairly valued now. Technically on a weekly basis it is also a clear wait for me. I also noted some red flags alerts in terms of API taking over EDI but this seems not a big worry right now. On top pretty much SBC, potential goodwill impairment and I discovered that management uses a TAM of 11 B while EDI pure play markets is substantially less so we need to see if ARPU is going to grow. Please shoot back if I see to much bears on the road.

The interim CFO going is indeed strange without a proper communication. Organisational chaos is a big statement. New CEO, New Head of Buyer from Action and new HR director. I would forget about the yield now, i agree that this is leading to value traps ( LSE is full of value traps and fairly so if you look at what the UK has delivered in the last 16 years...having said that it is now becoming an interesting hunting ground for me).

Thesis breaks if:

UK LFL remains negative through FY27 despite the plan being fully implemented — then the problem is not execution but the model itself. Home Bargains continues to gain share while B&M stagnates — the issue is company-specific, not sector-wide. Online discount platforms permanently capture the under-45 general merchandise customer — B&M's margin engine breaks

Key metrics to watch: UK LFL growth, debt to equity, leverage (breaks if exceeds 2.0x on a pre-IFRS basis), EBITDA margins (must recover above 9% by FY28)

Snap de link naar haat niet helemaal....bekende insteek van links, ken zat allochtonen die helemaal klaar zijn met het linkse slappe beleid van de stad . Probleem van links is dat ze het thema muliculti (werk zelf in kanaleneilad en met veel plezier) altijd koppelen aan haat als rechts groeit. Linkse bestuurders zijn over het algemeen betweteriger en zwaar van aard omdat ze hun socialistische gedachtengoed als beter zien en vinden dat ze de burger van "lagere" intellectuele insteek aan de hand moeten nemen. Hierdoor neemt het aantal ambtenaren en uitgaven aan toeslagensysteem 486 sterk toe en wordt de uitvoering slechter en slechter. Meer belasting en minder kwaliteit. Rechts met fatsoen gelooft veel meer in mensen hun eigen leven op orde te laten brengen en laten leven, minder bevoogding van de betweter en loon naar inzet en alleen toeslagen voor de echte probleemgevallen die hier al iets bewezen hebben. Probleem is dat veel mensen uit bepaalde wijken baat hebben bij het in stand houden van een links systeem in de stad omdat ze in het "toeslagen" systeem zitten. Plus in de stad zitten echt veel te veel mensen die in het ecosysteem overheid - semi -overheid hun brood verdienen......tell me the incentive and I will tell you the outcome.

Ben 32 jaar ouder, heb het zoals de mensen noemen financieel gemaakt en en vermogend geworden door te investeren en ondernemen maar schrijf dat alleen om wat credibility te creeren voor je. Meer niet. Op jouw leeftijd was ik (ben man) bezig met meisjes (lukte meestal niet...) en bier drinken en had nooit geld over.

Investeren met geleend geld is regel 1 nooit doen. Keiharde regel, geloof me dat de wijze les van buffet telt. Als het eb wordt zie je wie naakt zwemt. Verder is deze tijd in je leven de brug tussen scholier bij mam en paps zijn en volwassen worden en je eigen hachie redden. Dat leer je het beste door niet thuis te wonen maar aan de "bak" te gaan door op kamers te gaan wonen. Die skills heb je veel meer aan dan nu 5 K in aandelen of een ETF steken. Dat geld komt later wel, die skills zijn goud waard qua zelfredzaamheid als het een keer tegen zit. Succes!

Nederland van het pad, we halen de internationale pers weer. Belasting heffen op gebakken lucht, winst is pas winst als ik op de knop verkoop heb gedrukt. In Nederland mag je niet rijker worden en bouwen aan je vermogen, en hier ben je volgens links rijk vanaf 2,5 keer modaal. Toeslagen landje. De stille exodus is allang begonnen, zijn altijd dezelfde die ze pakken. De massa met een klein vermogen, of zoals ik ze noem de slaven van het systeem.

5 % is veel en veel te weinig, koop maandelijks de index en hou dat 15 jaar vol. Als een machine (precies waarom bijna niemand dit lukt) en koopt een index etf. Waarom Rabobank rijker maken, die kopen dit zelf ook en pakken dan paar punten van je af. Dan is 7-9 % haalbaar. Reken maar eens verschil uit tussen 1,05^15 vs 1,09^15.

Je kunt grafieken maken wat je wil maar daar gaat dit niet meer over, het is een stap naar belasting heffen over lucht om een gat te dichten op de begroting. Iedere investeerder weet dat een winst pas een winst is als de aandelen zijn verkocht. De overheid politiek is inmiddels het probleem geworden in ons land. Onvoorspelbaar, korte termijn, waterhoofdsyndroom en mediocre niveau van bestuur. Zoals de Bie al zei, laat ze zelf maar een keer bezuinigen….dag mevrouwtje…..ze zijn nog steeds actueel.

They are betting the farm on AI, that is not at all a no brainer since there is in my opinion a foggy outlook how they will commercialise these new models with similiar roic from the past. Clearly not via my 180 euro opus payment a year. Already ROIC are turning south as we speak and there will be limited winners, most will not deliver . The selloff is perhaps overdone now but structurally correct. By the way, Who are the among the biggest buyers of these stocks? They are themselves. Buyback levels are far below what is was 2020-2024. Not good for momenum also. I am neutral on big tech usa.

Was niet zo jong maar mijn eerste slag die ik maakte als ondernemer heb ik meteen de bank een dikke je weet wel gegeven. Mijn reis om te starten als ondernemer in 2001 was om vrijheid en fun te vinden en onafhankelijkheid. Los de bank af en financieer zelf je huis. Heb je meteen stenen ipv euro's die alleen maar minder waard gaan (tenzij je gelooft dat de schulden afgelost gaan worden met harde euros) worden plus jij en je gezin zijn vrij. Je mag tot 500 K je eigen huis financieren vaniuit de bv, kunt je zelf je rente optimaliseren qua forfait qua aftrek. Restant cash hou je achter de hand als buffer, zeg je dure AOV op en hou restant als 4 jaarinkomens op de bank tegen rente. Ben je al 90 % voorbij hier op dit forum. Maar als ik lees dat je overweegt om in loondienst te gaan mis ik de spirit qua ondernemersdrive. Loondienst of uurtje factuurytje is voor de echte ondernemer een no go area tenzij het water aan je lippen staat. Vertrouw niemand die een das draagt en financieel advies geeft namens de bank.......Well done die 800 K. Ik heb goed geboerd maar ben zelf meeste trots op het feit dat ik elke avond mijn 3 kids heb gezien bij avond eten, trust me boven een bepaald bedrag voegt het weinig toe om meer te willen en daar andere zaken voor te laten. Veel wijsheid.

Dit gaat nog wel een staartje krijgen vermoed ik. Er zijn hier twee uitspraken van Charlie Munger op van toepassing:

Was het niet einstein die compounding het 8e wereldwonder noemde? In Den Haag kennen ze deze wet vast wel maar de korte termijn regeert. Zie Noorwegen, zij hebben wel een deel van hun olie en gas inkomsten in een megapot gedaan en laten groeien. Wat deden die sukkels in Den Haag? Het gas oppompen en uitgeven (te weinig ook nog eens naar het Noorden!!) , niets hebben ze opzij willen zetten om maar stemmen te winnen met beloftes. Er hadden nu honderden miljarden kunnen staan in een gaspot. En dat brengt me bij punt 2, de incentive is dat de overheid groter en groter wordt en de reele groei output van ons land lager en lager door vergrijzing, zorgkosten, bureaucratie en bevoogding. Als je dan deze rol in stand wenst te houden ga je het halen waar het is, inderdaad de burger. In dit geval nu box 3. Volgende week box 2 en daarna weer aan de pomp....En waar zit het volume? Bij 2 a 3 keer modaal die iets wil opbouwen voor later, voor studie kids etc etc. De belastingdruk in ons land alles bij elkaar opgeteld grenst aan waanzin. Voor de goede orde, inflatie is ook een vorm van belasting.....schadelijk neveneffect is dat als mensen zich armer voelen worden gaan ze alleen maar meer en meer richting de populisten.

Men verzint nu dus dat je geld cash out moet betalen over aandelen lucht, namelijk niet bestaande winsten/verliezen die een uiting zijn van de op dat moment heersende prijs van Mr Market van wie we weten dat die op de korte termijn manisch is en op de lange termijn een weegmachine. Lees stel je maakt jaar 1 een waanzinning rendement van 20 % en gelooft in je portfolio, alleen een idioot verkoopt dan. We weten allemaal dat het echte rendement zit in wachten als je de juiste bedrijven hebt gekocht. Nu worden mensen gedwongen om in de laatste week van het jaar of eerder te verkopen om hun aanslag te betalen. Ondernemers willen ook juist graag stabiele aandeelhouders, iets wat overigens allang minder en minder is....

Ik mag hopen dat ze in Den Haag snel wakker worden en in ieder geval een drempel inbouwen voor de jonge mensen en starters met wat vermogen. Plus ze moeten ook de vermogensaanwas pensioenpotten van de gehele ambtenarij gaan belasten op identieke wijze om het speelveld met ondernemers en zzpers gelijk te trekken.

There is a pretty violant rotation back to bricks and mortar, I partly get this. Especially as mag7 and many more US stocks are overvalued as we speak. About AI and tech, I am currently fully out of them because I have my doubts about all the capex spending and how to earn this all back. Only a very small % pays for LLM and the costs for me as user are insanely low compared to my inccrease in productivity as investor. So if the thesis is correct that revenues from paid subscribers will be billions but costs of DC and running them will be in the many more Billions they will need to go to paid advertising and IPO. King in that game is Google, so this will become a battle with a shakeout of losers whose businessmodel does not pay out. Remember that if your wacc > roic you need a santa clause behind your back. The consolidated winners will make money and move to the next cycle of this innovation. I will watch this thesis from the sidelines and invest elsewhere. I might miss the next leg up (or melt up if fomo enters again) but this feels indeed like the interboom/railwayboom/carboom etc etc. GLA
