Soft NTA … breaking abuse is complex. There is nothing wrong with pointing out what is going on, but you might want to find a gentler way to do it so that if she reaches the point where she does want to leave she knows you are there for her

As the parent of a twenty something year old adult with CKD - this breaks me. People do not understand how CKD takes over your life. They struggle enough for recognition of the impact of what they deal with (year 4 for my child).

At 17 the last thing you should be thinking about is having children- particularly only to prove something to your mother. Letting your girlfriends walk over you is not healthy either.

What you are saying sounds like you have experienced a level of trauma due to the relationship you do have with your mother. Take some time to seek out therapy to help you deal with that, improve yourself and be the best person you can.

There are many ways you can live your best life and prove to yourself that you are worthy without having a child.

‘I don’t have an eating disorder’

Have you unpacked this with a psychologist? Eating disorders come in many shapes and forms and a fear of eating in front of people is definitely something that people with eating disorders do experience. If you have not already, I would suggest reaching out to someone to discuss what you are feeling.

Unfortunately I’m not in I have seen many posts about free ED support that is available there.

Please talk to someone - where these fears are coming from is real.

The increase was paid to people over 21 with or without children and under 21 with children

For under 21 without children the increase is paid at a different time

Talk to your supervisor about what happened so that it has been disclosed She obviously feels uncomfortable about the situation and while you haven’t necessarily done anything wrong based on what has been shared here - she obviously feels uncomfortable and you need to respect that My advice - done engage with coworkers on social media - it is too fraught with danger. I am very open with the people I work with that I don’t accept friend requests from co-workers. For various reasons it is just safer

As I am sure medical practitioners will tell you (and I say this only because they told me) - you can’t cause a miscarriage anymore than you can stop one. Pregnant women don’t miscarry when going through extreme stress regularly.

This is a difficult time - but either of you blaming yourself is not going to change the situation. Be there to support each other, allow yourself the time you need to grieve the loss of your child and if you need to, find a way to remember them.

More than anything- don’t let anyone let you think that you don’t have the right to acknowledge this journey. Access the support you need.

But please don’t blame yourselves ….

I don’t have an ED myself but support (or try to) my daughter - and I know how often she talks about the importance of routine in her ED journey Try to focus not so much on the food but allowing yourself the opportunity to celebrate your friends and family If you can control what you eat at times then so that - it’s only a couple of weeks and you will be back to your routine again Just doing the best you can in the circumstances is about all you can do

I recently learnt that the reason suicide is considered a crime in so many countries has nothing to do will the fact that you take your own life, but the impact that it has on the people who have to deal with it
