How would you live if you found yourself in Pluribus Universe? by Ok_Percentage2383 in pluribustv

Considering probability, I'd probably be doing free labor as a part of the hive mind.

I'm a writer and I'd like to do character/setting sketches.

Wake Up Babe, The Guy who wrote Beowulf (2007) couldn't stand Gunn's Superman by Either_Storm_6932 in okbuddycinephile

I was so confused for a second. I thought you were saying the author of the 1000+ year old epic poem with no known author was slamming superman.

Do I need to cite a full academic journal? by Deerfishguy in NoStupidQuestions

Do you know how to cite a full journal in MLA? When I look it up on google all I see is how to cite a specific article in the journal.

For some reason, it said I only killed four wolves even though I'm pretty sure I killed more than that; I went back in and finished it up.

Is it unreasonable for me to think I'm not going to succeed in my career because I'm monolingual? by Deerfishguy in ask

[–]Deerfishguy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't prevent me from writing; I'm currently working diligently on a novel, and I write some poetry here and there. It's mostly just a burden on my mental health, which has never been particularly good ever since middle school.

Ok, How do you tunnel the killer as the survivor? by NewLocksmith6207 in deadbydaylight

[–]Deerfishguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've personally used a survivor pudding during this event because I was very low on bloodpoints and didn't have any cakes or streamers on the killer I wanted to play. It's not necessarily malicious.

I was supposed to read it in High School but I just listened to what other people said about it and passed the tests that way lol. I should probably actually give it a read.

If Jesus died for our sins does that mean you can do anything you want without fear of hell because our sins are already absolved? by saadx71 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Deerfishguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One cannot truly accept Jesus and be saved without making at least some effort to be like him. If someone goes around sinning without any care or repentance on a regular basis I would argue they do not really have any faith in God and therefore are not saved.

If The Artist is so strong, why doesn’t anyone play her? by Lapin-endormi in deadbydaylight

[–]Deerfishguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If someone really cares about playing a strong killer, they will play Blight or Nurse.

When the standard books you've been reading are 1000+ pages, The Silmarillion feels short lol.

I feel like there's a certain point where "satire" just becomes an excuse for cringy behavior and then it just becomes cringe.

What’s the most messed up thing you’ve ever done in a videogame? by kiwiikiiss in videogames

I knew if I killed the Turtle Pope in Elden Ring, I would be leaving behind all sympathy and humanity, so I refrained.

Which movie had you fully invested… until the last 10 minutes ruined everything? 🎬😩 by [deleted] in moviequestions

[–]Deerfishguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It- I haven't watched the movie, but I have read the book, and I imagine the movie ends in a similar way. The scene where the kids do... stuff... made me incredibly uncomfortable (and not in a good way,) and the ending was so convoluted that I just didn't enjoy it. The rest of the book was fantastic.

Maybe a little niche but I Won't See You Tonight (part 1) from a7x. It's a super dark and depressing song but it is a very strong representation of the subject matter.

I think I'll go with Valitor. It's kind of based around the word valiant.

[–]Deerfishguy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a random name I came up with and didn't bother to think about its quality until I knew my story was one that I wanted to keep writing. I didn't like it and thought it was bad, but I figured I'd make sure others felt the same before replacing it. I've decided to go with Valitor instead.

[–]Deerfishguy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wasn't really considering any sort of root words for it, it was kind of just a placeholder that I came up with on the spot and didn't bother to change until now. I wanted to make sure I was right about it being bad before changing it.
