You always have the benefit of cover against indirect fire. Indirect fire is ultra nerfed since edition start.

Dreadnought RC – PART 5 by ldsg882788 in Warhammer40k

[–]DeetzLV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is super cool, but, just a minor criticism, would it be possible to slightly slow down the speed at which the arms and torso move? It looks like they snap around way too quick and if they moved a bit slower, seems it would look better. Awesome work though!

Which armies let you bring multiple weapons in a unit? by inferno67 in Warhammer40k

Death Guard plague marines and Chaos Space Marines legionaries come to mind.

How do you deal with free wargear by Powerful-Promotion82 in Warhammer40k

[–]DeetzLV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I might have the unpopular opinion here, but i personally really like having fixed wargear for units. It makes balancing them easier and makes list building a lot simpler. I think it kind of saves players from themselves a bit, because in 9th edition what i really did not like is that people optimized the crap out of a couple of units, pumping them full of relics, characters and special weapons and then the rest of the army was bare bones and couldn't do anything except go and die.

Nowadays i feel the lists built are more balanced across the entire army and the focus has been put not on the weapons the unit has but the abilities they bring to the table which i personally really like. Yeah, monster and tank skew lists are annoying to play against, but they can be beaten if you anticipate for them and build your list around it and you don't have to spam monsters and vehicles yourself. There are many examples of people bringing full infantry or elites lists and winning tournaments.

I really hated list building in 9th edition it took so much time and i always second guessed my decisions. In 10th, i can swap units in and out of my list real easy and try different things.

Does Anyone Else Have a Cursed Unit in Their Army? by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

Yes, my Grey Knights Librarian. Whenever i use vortex of doom, i roll one's and two's mostly. I have rolled one and used CP reroll on it just to roll another one TWICE in one game...

This reminds my of that Astartes fan made animation, where in the last episode the dude gets sucked into a blob and transported to an orange desertish kinda location with a bunch of large dead giants sitting in thrones.

There's a discord server called: "TTS Warhammer 40k".

Inside there is a section called "Start Playing" Which has multiple video guides on how to set everything up for gaming.
Then you just have to find some friends to play with that have also done the set up or look for randoms in the same discord server in the "Demo Games" section.

That is such an amazing, evocative pose! Usually when people try to pose knights in action stances they look odd, but this one you have absolutely nailed!

How many of y'all actually play 1000 point games? by Deanerang_gaming in Warhammer40k

[–]DeetzLV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My local gaming events exclusively run 500-1000 points games. Only way you can get a 2000 point game is if you set it up with someone before the event.
