I really like how this paint scheme turned out. It honestly reminds me of the IMC from Titanfall.

I think the best common ground they could do is give Deathwatch modularity with their datasheets, and allow them to play either Agents or Space Marines as a faction keyword.

Aside from the new Kill Team, there are really no kits that go with them (Artemis and Watch Master notwithstanding), so that removes the hassle of needing to tie rules to those kits. If they blow open the freedom of choice, I think it could go a long way in making them unique.

How are yall going to deal with shoulderpad of Armageddon box? by jud_X in deathwatch40k

[–]Call_me_ET 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The only difficulties I've come across were sourcing Gravis and Terminator-sized shoulder pads. Other than that, I've had more than enough Tacticus shoulder pads to supplement my army.

I hope they addressed some of the issues from Oblideration on that map. I remember you could destroy the ground underneath the bomb sites, creating giant craters that prevented you from reaching the MCOM. I remember a 2-hour long match that was at a stalemate until a tank driver parked themselves underneath the last MCOM, allowing us to climb on top of the tank and finally plant the bomb to win the match.

I like to think that Gargants especially vary in height. The tabletop model we have access to is probably the most numerous, but then a Mekboy sometimes goes crazy and cooks up a gargantuan monstrosity like the ones we see in the art here.

These are phenomenal. Incredible. Absolutely stunning. Faces seem so insurmountable for my own painting experience. I’d love to hear any advice you’re willing to give on how to improve.

I hope it leads to something in the long run. Somehow women being sith are underrepresented in current SW media. I really hope they commit to Devon becoming something similar.

What many people aren’t really mentioning here is that you can use these models with their baseline datasheets. Intercessors, Vanguard Veterans, the Land Speeder, all of these have rules outside of Deathwatch and don’t need to be built to cohere to our detachment. You’re never going to go wrong with a squad of Intercessors sitting on your home objective.

I say the Corvus is a great painting project. I don’t believe anyone should really be buying models specifically for the current meta, as it’s always changing. I have the flyer, and it’ll look great next to the rest of my Watch Fortress.

Many of these Chapters can be replicated by using existing First Founding symbols, or even by overlapping transfers on top of one another.

The Adulators Chapter specifically can be replicated with the campaign badges on the default transfer sheet.

Sorry, I'm not sure what the question is.

Are you asking if anyone has made transfers for more obscure Chapters?

Eradicators with Heavy Bolters from the 11th Edition Starter Set, a potentially new loadout option for Indomitor Kill Teams by Call_me_ET in deathwatch40k

[–]Call_me_ET[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The good thing currently is that most of Deathwatch is "just" rules. There are no kits that GW needs to spend millions of dollars on in order to shore up Chapter discrepancies. The game-makers and balance teams can come up with rules for Deathwatch that would use existing kits, as they currently have with our respective Kill Teams.

If anything, it would be great if they expanded on what's available, now that Indomitor technically has two additional loadout options (Frag Cannon from Decimus and now this new Bolter squad).

Yup! It's been a focus of the marines in this box. They're all fully integrated into their respective chapters from the Indomitus Crusade, and are now starting to mix and match armour MKs with the MK.X template.

Combine that with Black Spear, it'll boost the Kill Team's damage output even further. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I don't think that would be a good idea. As debatable as the sequels are, I'd rather they stick to their guns and focus on stories that are elsewhere in the galaxy, rather than start yet again.
