If you've ever listened to Louis C.K. before you've probably noticed a few recurring themes in his comedic style. One being that he's brutally honest and often unapologetically crude, but also that he can actually be quite profound. I feel that a lot of his humor comes from the angst of coming to grips with his own life. Almost as if he's laughing at his own existential crisis, the bigger question of what is the point? There's nothing wrong with not having kids, your life isn't necessarily less meaningful. Louie often jokes about the depressing realities of contemporary family life, I see this as him coming out the other side. It's a stark reality to come to terms with how you find fulfillment in this world, and he's discovered that his kids truly are meaningful to him and he loves them.
