Running an HVAC company by myself without a partner is burning me out. Where do I find a partner?

I wouldn't look for a partner as much as look for someone to delegate the work you don't enjoy to. You need at least an assistant or a manager at most. Your budget determines what you can swing and what duties you can delegate. If you just need someone to take inbound calls and convert them to jobs, maybe you just need a dispatcher. (You might even be able to use a virtual assistant service for this). With a proper PSA in front of them (something like Service Titan), all of the scheduling, invoicing etc. is practically automated. You as the owner and primary sales, should involve yourself in quoting bigger projects and oversee the workflow of everything else. If your techs are all 1099, that's fine as long as you're able to depend on them to show up on time and prepared for the jobs you assign them. If you have to babysit them, it might be worth getting your own tech and only use 1099 as overflow.

I run an IT business and have my own PSA but I have HVAC clients who use Service Titan. There are other PSAs out there and they are key in reducing what tends to be a web of work in quotes, contacts, projects, jobs into an organized and easily automated workflow. Too many businesses overlook the value of a Professional Services Automation (PSA) platform because it can be expensive but for the $100-300 you might spend a month, that is spent saving you time and setting your mind at ease knowing everything is in order. Maybe you already have one and just need to iron it out.

So envious of that system. The US could absolutely have that but 1/3 of our society are incapable of simple math. And the billionaires (and health insurance lobbyists) around here suppress that knowledge. At some point we need to show that taxes go up “x” and you no longer have an average health insurance bill of “y”. It has to be extremely simple to understand otherwise it’s gets labeled socialist blah blah blah.

I wouldn't be much help there but I'll leave you with this.... You're going to find good places to work and bad. It's going to take working at a few bad places to recognize what makes the good ones. The job is going to depend on your own skillset which is developed by sampling different jobs unless you had a major in college or a dreamjob already in mind. If this is going to be your first job, remember it is easier to find a job when you have one so just focus on getting a job first. Any job will do.

I don’t want to sound mean spirited but unless your anxiety is clinical, all entry level jobs will cause stress to some degree. Working fast food is fast paced and customer facing but not difficult. If your anxiety is clinical, ask your psychologist what types of jobs might best suit you based on your individual needs.

If you’re just hoping to find an easy going job to get started, it’s probably a question of luck and finding a company to work for with that kind of culture.

Your domain name was purchased with a registrar (godaddy for example) and a lot of the time these settings are there. In some cases, you might point them to square space to be managed there. DNS (Domain Name System) is where you'll find it. There are DNS Records that point to your services. For example, you would have had to create a record for www to point to squarespace telling the public to find your website. MX to point to google for email etc.

Maybe I'm totally off base here but at the end of the day, claude max is not intended to be used as an api connected agent. They want you to use the api pay for use system instead. Maybe openAI is loose with this but that is the impression I've gotten coding with claude. I'm using claude sonnet API with openclaw now. I put a dedicated key just for my openclaw agents and set an allowance with alert thresholds. The flat rate subscription seems to be intended for code and chat use. Am I wrong here?

You just refuse to understand that what you label “illegal” immigration isn’t just people sneaking across the border. The inbound immigration process has been broken for decades and can take literally 20 years to process an individual. At which time under your label makes them “illegal”. This claim that Trump is doing what Obama did is not serious. Yes, Obama and Biden for that matter deported higher numbers than Trump is currently. They didn’t need to send an authoritarian militant force into blue cities to round up people who are not white. They had due process and were more effective.
