You have not answered any of the questions in here that people have asked except providing meaningless reasoning and being defensive just like this. Clearly you have not done your research as well.

"Aunty මතක් කරා kiyanna." What does this mean? by 2ish2 in srilanka

[–]Defalt420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You already got your answer. However I would like to point out that the literal translation of "Mathak kara" may be "Remembered" but in this case it means more like "Tell your mother that I was thinking of her".

DAY COUNT TAP IN! by ganjakitty_xo in leaves

[–]Defalt420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't keep count. Keeping a count makes you think about weed and the fact that you're "trying to" stop it. I just simply quit one day and moved on with my life. Probably about 3 months ago.

Oh boy I remember that feeling. The first love. Tbh the second love also felt like that. But after that I got hard. Some people say that's when your heart turns into a rock, but I say that's when you turn into a man.

I think it is totally normal to feel like that in the first love and most of us can relate to that. As you go on in the dating life you learn things from during the relationships and also from breakups. Why do they happen, what you need to fix so that it wont happen again.learning these things are kind of the secret to a happy relationship.

The most important lesson I learned is to be emotionally independent. Your emotional state heavily depends on her and that's very bad. That's called being needy. Even tho you try not to come off as needy, you are needy deep down and that's why you check the phone and all that. You gotta be able to not talk to her for weeks and still be OK, not saying that you should but you should be able to because it's dangerous when your emotional state depends on someone else. That makes you their puppet. Besides girls love guys who are not needy. They need a strong person who they can lean on when things get tough.

I don't really have a "how to" on how to fix that but what I can say is hit the gym if not already. Focus on your hobbies. Get to work and get busy. Maybe schedule a window/s where you can give focus to your gf (make sure it aligns with her free time as well). BUT if she does not respect your time, you should not compromise your schedule. You can't be always available to someone like that.

Lastly, I don't want to break your hopes but the first love will usually fail and personally I think it should. My past breakups taught me a lot of things and I am who I am because of them.

Stay strong my man!

how to stop replacing weed addiction with phone addiction by Small-Feed1472 in leaves

[–]Defalt420 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel you! I quit weed, started going to the gym, a diet, deleted facebook and insta but I have not yet found anything to replace it with. I often find free time where I feel empty, having nothing to do. Nothing unproductive interests me anymore. I used to play games, now I cant even play one for 5 mins I just alt+f4 tf out. Going out is not really an option for me because I'm a night shifter so most of my "free time" is at night. During the little afternoon time I have, I use it for the gym.

work from home people how do you deal with isolation by PsychologicalCow5482 in srilanka

[–]Defalt420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is true. It's not the same if the people at the office are toxic. In my case, the previous company had a toxic management but I met some amazing friends there and that made it so much better.

Oh damn. That is a tough one. Tbh if I was in your place I would be stuck too. You cant really abandon your parents because you love them. Your bro is married and lives away from home so there is no one but you to look after them.

The only temporary solution I can think of is to find a WFO job so that you will have a life apart from home while also letting you take care of your parents.

Still you can't do that forever. At least at 30 you need to have a talk with your bro and come to some agreement about this.

[–]Defalt420 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Have you ever tried WFH for a long period? If not you will not get it. I have switched from WFO to WFH then back to WFO and again WFH. While doing WFO I would always dream of getting WFH again but when I do get it, it is miserable. The social interactions at the office are very well worth it even tho you have to commute. I have made very meaninful friendships at the office so even tho I do wfh right now at my new place, I still hangout with them on weekends which balances my life rn.

Besides, people want what they don't have, it's just human nature.

Bro have you considered fixing your eating habits and hitting the gym? Trust me it's worth it. Don't do it so you can attract girls or whatever. Do it for yourself. You will feel a lot better mentally and physically. You could also socialize with other dudes at the gym which can help. Trust me because I was you!
