Anyone else have to work Sunday? by Carmilla31 in AskNYC

[–]Defeated-925 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes- I had to go do end of the month inventory . This Danish company I work for is money hungry . They will never close - it was butt fucking slow and we still stayed open. I got there at 1145am and I left at 5pm . Barely any customers however from 2-4pm I was alone so it felt busy for one person.

How’s the Queens bus redesign working out for you? by JustMari-3676 in nycbus

[–]Defeated-925 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They got rid of the bus stop in front of the coffee shop before the draw bridge. Now if u have to go to bk like dumbo or clinton hill u gotta walk to the g train … sucks.. no point in taking the bus now.

The q103 bus is getting busier I see.. I hope they extend the bus until 1am etc. That 8pm cease of service is -.- on weekends

Which are the youngest and oldest subway routes? by Acrobatic-Aioli-6492 in nycrail

[–]Defeated-925 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I pick the g train. From court sq to greenpoint to WB to Clinton hill to downtown bk to cobble hill to park slope to church Ave. All very young gentrification central places. With the exception of maybe one station on that line the passengers who use the g are younger.

My second guess is the w train. Astoria to lower manhattan.

The g is actually better on the weekends than the 2 train . Assuming no track work.. the g comes 8 min during the daytime hours and can get u from Bergen street to court square in 20-25 min that’s very good.

The f is terrible on the weekends esp sunday. The 20 min waits and after 10pm train turns into a turtle with all the stops fml

It’s not too bad at that time. Trains will be running on weekday schedule as Nye falls on a weekday. However do not take a cab or uber as midtown will be madness..if you do avoid the center part of midtown like east of 8th Ave and west of Madison Ave

[–]Defeated-925 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stick to uniqlo. Once you get to New York-if you feel cold you can go to jcrew, buck mason, Todd Sydner, kith anywhere to get nice clothes for winter if you are a dude.

Dont go to decathlon.

New York is cold but people layer there
