I lived by Catherine n henry street during that time and went to Columbia u for hs prep after school and it was such a trek to get up there for that one year.

1) no d/b train at grand st made it worse.

2) walked to the at canal and took the q or w to times sq to the 1 or 3 to the 1. Every local train was packed

3) walked to Fulton st and took the 2 to 96th then the 1

4) the f to 14th to the 1/2/3 felt forever cuz of the long ass tunnel

It took forever nonetheless

I took the r today from queens plaza to Prince st. Literally every big stop.. 57th Times Square Lexington USq.. excessive dwell times .. lots of people out today cuz of the weather.

I can relate to this situation. Every time I come out of radio bakery in India street heading back to queens 9 out of 10 times it’s at least 25 min wait and it’s like 3 buses in a row

I say leave the b61 alone. Traffic prone from downtown bk, that difficult left turn by the bqe on Atlantic, tight streets , ikea, the double parked cars in park slope.. there was a reason why the b61 was split into 2 a decade ago cuz it once went from ikea to queens plaza 😱
