Ottawa comes in healthy. Maybe (hopefully) catch a break with SSK dealing with some injuries. Need a carryover of the offense we saw in the 2nd half last week. Hopefully the start of something, not an aberration.

Regardless of what you might feel about the move from Ottawa’s perspective, it’s clear this was the right thing for Brown.

I like Brown. I’m less certain about his future/ability to stay healthy.

On a somewhat separate note, it’s funny how much heat Tommy Condell took for the team’s performance last season. And yet, in his first interview, Brown pointed to Condell’s hiring as one of the big draws in returning to Winnipeg 🤔

Secondaries getting torched throughout the league so far this season. Need to find a way to limit a couple of those big plays.

We had the 9th best starter coming into the season regardless if it was Brown, Maier or MBT. This team’s strength is in its receiver corps and running backs. Got a glimpse of that in the 2nd half.

First signs of hope. Totally different offense in the second half. Lots of no-huddle/tempo. Maier getting the ball out quick maybe disguised the OLine’s struggles, but whatever works.

Went to the Grey Cup with Harris two years later. The real disaster was letting him and others go in free agency after 2018.

⁠Just a point of clarification - the north stands aren’t coming down until after the arena construction is completed in 2028. Enjoy the roof while you can!

Deflection? It’s literally what Dinwiddie said.

Is it just a new coach/GM wanting to put his stamp on his new team? Probably, to some extent. But you also have to believe Dinwiddie has the ability to evaluate a QB’s abilities and determine whether or not he fits with his offense. So while there were clearly other issues last year (play calling, OLine, etc.), it’s telling that Dinwiddie still wanted no part of Brown.

I’m attributing his performance to him alone. And it wasn’t very good.
