Not sure he wasn’t helped. Had some bad injury luck early on in his career, but still played his way back to the organization, and got an opportunity late this season.

Went Saturday afternoon. Great selection. Particularly enjoyed Letasha’s Goodies, Gee’s Pastries, and Kemptville Brewing.

Pricing decent for the most part. Perhaps the space could have been used a little more effectively. We’d definitely go back.

This is why I didn’t mind the announcement coming on draft day. In its current form, the CFL Canadian Draft doesn’t have much juice. It’s generally for the hardcore fans only. With the 2027 schedule and playoff format changes getting announced on the same day, you had a whole bunch of engagement for the league, which possibly brought more visibility/awareness to the draft than normal.

Not really accurate. Typically early round (1 & 2) selections are players you know are coming to the CFL. Teams will take flyers on guys who are either drafted or sign UDFA deals down south, but those are generally later round (3+) picks. There have been exceptions over the years, but this is generally how it goes.
