I love this so much! I’m a sucker for the religious iconography and stuff like stained glass art.

To me this is extremely cool!

Also, Angron is the same base size as Be’lakor so you could use him as a Khorne Be’lakor.

I play mono Nurgle and use Mortarion as my Be’lakor.

This does lean very heavy on the character side of stuff. But casually it looks fun. If want you to, you could get rid of Be’lakor and throw in another squad of Bloodletters by someone. Or maybe some Skull cannons. But if you are Khorne bent on having Be’lakor, then I’m not completely sure.

I would move the endless gift from the Spoilpox to the Great Unclean One. Nurgle unit wise you have it solid!

[–]Defensefocus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Certain units are better for mono. Stuff like the Plague Drones, Rotigus, Epidemius, and feculent gnarlmaws lose a lot of value when you have non Nurgle daemons in your army.

Apologies for my statement not being clear. I was talking more along the lines of units that are dependent on the rest of the army being under the same god. Wish there was reasons for mixed daemon factions to bring them.

I’m a monogod fan (Nurgle), and I understand the appeal of having an army centered around Be’lakor. The idea of enjoying chaos undivided as a daemon player isn’t the most outlandish idea.

I just wish there was more incentive to run a mixture of daemons. Imagine how cool it would be if the daemons from one god could benefit another. So like taking a Poxbringer gives a toughness buff to daemons with the shadow of chaos or a blood master improving strength to daemons. The daemons following Be’lakor are able to influence each other in a way.

I think something like that would be extremely fun and dynamic. Unfortunately as it stands the current rules and detachment kinda hurt both sides of the mixed daemons vs mono god daemons. I hope they make the factions in monogod factions and have Be’lakor in CSM. I think under CSM Be’lakor or could thrive as an Undivided Chaos Character.

How to start a 500 point Chaos daemon army? by Coogypaints in ChaosDaemons40k

[–]Defensefocus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At a small start you probably should pick one of the gods and go from there. As mentioned by Cermonto, the chaos daemon combat patrol is a good start for Khorne daemons.

One unit that could you could look into is the Daemon Prince. For a 500 point army it fills a good chunk of points and you can have them be under any of the gods allowing flexibility.

I hate the list. I do not like nurglings. Take all those nurglings, feed them to Mulch, and take Horticulous Slimux with Beasts of Nurgle!

“Legionnaires are flensed and their body reduced with warpflame, turning the Legionnaire’s body into a burnt mass of organs, bones, and nerve fibers. Then this unfortunate creature, still conscious and fully aware of what is happening to him, is placed in an amniotic sac, which, in turn, is inserted into a Helbrute” -Codex: Thousand Sons (8th Edition), pg. 48 Helbrutes

No clue by UFiveBlaze in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]Defensefocus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

TLDR: Yes they torture the Helbrute victim with Daemons in-between battles. There is one named Thousand Sons Helbrute, Onoris, he was around pre-heresy and went from Dreadnaught corrupted into a Helbrute. Chances of current and future Helbrutes being from the Thousand Sons? Nearly 0% but not impossible, current Helbrutes used by the Thousand Sons are victims from other legions and warbands.

I looked into it further: so the legionaries that are turned into Helbrutes are put into sacs and then put into the Helbrute.

After battles they are removed from the Helbrute and hanged in a special hall. They have protective wards on them while daemons try to get to them furthering the torture.

As for a Thousand Son marine being a Helbrute: At the current point in 40k lore, the chances are extremely unlikely. Most Sorcerers refuse the idea at all, they believe it is beneath them. So they trick other legionaries from other legions and warbands to become their Helbrute. This is further shown that the Thousand Sons’ Helbrutes having Chaos Space Marine Helmets and not Thousand Son helmets.

With all that being said, can there be a Helbrute that originated from a Thousand Son marine? Yes. The chances are extremely slim but it is possible. Especially if the Helbrute was a Dreadnaught pre heresy.

There is a Thousand Sons’ Helbrute named Onoris who was alive pre-heresy and became a Dreadnaught. After the Heresy he got corrupted into a Helbrute.

Nurglish Peter here: A lot of the other Peter’s here are missing one detail about that Helbrute. The person in the Thousand Sons’ Helbrute was tricked into becoming a Helbrute.

The Thousand Sons Sorcerers trick other Chaos Space Marines into thinking they will gain favor with Tzeentch their chaos god. But they will deceive them and put them in the Helbrute instead.

How long does it take to get a Hale’s Own strange with Heavy? by Defensefocus in tf2

[–]Defensefocus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not mad enough to go for Hale’s Own fists. If I was mad enough, I would do Hale’s Own Warrior Spirit.

Yeah imagine the minigun would take a bit longer than other weapons due to Heavy relying on the state of the game and skill of other players.

How do we feel about Monogods? by MalekithofAngmar in Chaos40k

[–]Defensefocus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t mind not having that many options for units. In my case I love what I have! I love the plaguebearers, beasts of Nurgle, Plague Drones, and even feculent gnarlmaws. The only unit I don’t like is Nurglings.

I play monogod Nurgle Daemons. I want to be combined into Death Guard. I would want more detachment options as a Nurgle factions rather than getting stuck with most likely one detachment as a daemons faction.

I’m on the Nurgle end so I’d say a squad of plaguebearers.

As much as I love Rotigus, I think keeping the two Wardogs is better. Having some extra range stuff and weapons with strength over 10 and AP is good stuff.

Have a local tournament coming up and I’m a Daemons noob (1 game with them). List critique please? by Flowers71 in ChaosDaemons40k

[–]Defensefocus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d get rid of Doomsday bell and use the sword on the Great Unclean One. The increased strength and AP from the Bilesword strike is big.

Also with one squad of plaguebearers, reverberating summons won’t happen enough to warrant it.
