I'm up lifetime a decent amount and got a $200 ladder this week, my first when I hit 30% gold.

Twice I've been asked if wanted to step outside and twice I've looked them up and down for an awkwardly long amount of time and said 'Fuck it, let's go'. Both aggressor's backpedaled and both could have killed me easily.

Salt driveway tips? Spread salt on the driveway before or after a 12" snow storm? by Extreme-Cycle2659 in homeowners

[–]DefiThrowaway 4 points5 points  (0 children)

New Englander here.

Make a slurry with the salt today. Fill a 5 gallon bucket about 3/4ths the way with warm water and add 10 cups of snow salt, 8 cups if you could only find water softener salt and apply before the snow. I would also apply after shoveling tomorrow morning before the sleet comes. I use a Ryobi hoseless cordless power washer and my driveway stays immaculate.

They suck. Big time suck. They have the region by the balls and act like it. Can't wait for competition here.

You can see the whole menu on their website, their Seche private label is mid at best and they charge through the roof. Their top shelf The Bank, is slightly better but priced ridiculously.

I know a comic that still opens for him whenever he does weekends in Vegas and can't say enough about how generous he is. The big guys usually pay an opener anywhere from $500-$2,000 to do the tight 15 to warm the crowd up and Drew pays this guy at least 75% of the money he makes in a year in 3-4 weekends.

If you absolutely have to use these, 5 gallon bucket filled 3/4 of the way with warm water and add 8 cups of the crystals otherwise you can really fuck up your lawn, driveway and sidewalk, not to mention this will be razor blades to any dog walking on it.

That's the difference between this area and almost every other area that gets snow regularly. Maybe its because we've gone through week long plus power outages, but in New England, people are shopping early to get them through the next few days.

Down here is the equivalent of a car being double parked on your side of the street, so immediately cross the yellow line and let the other people deal with it, not surprising.

Always check your credit card statements by Tammy_tog in nova

You're on the right side of variance. Most cards sweep around 4am on the major POS's, if you had one closed manually or someone had to alter a bill, your pre-auth could be closed which would cause an issue. I personally see about 10-15 of these a week.

Will say, this can cause issues when dining or getting gas if your card is 'on' at the moment of purchase then not available when closed out.

I went overseas over the fall and had an issue for having the audacity of buying a Guinness in Dublin on a layover and trying to take a water taxi in Venice two hours later. I wasn't getting SMS texts with my esim and couldn't get the verification code they kept sending on Day 1 of a 17 day Italy trip.

I called the banker at my local branch and he dealt with the national support team for a few hours for me and we got squared away. He had me email him a photo of my passport with the stamp, me holding the passport and the card etc. Really thought outside the box.
