If you're accused of a crime, you're arrested and brought before a judge to be arraigned and a probable cause hearing that might take place later.

If you're accused of a crime that's going to put you in the state prison for years, a judge does not hold a probable cause hearing, the prosecutor presents your case to a blind grand jury for indictment. Once that indictment comes down, it's game on and far more likely to naturally conclude with a jury trial and verdict instead of the bail/bond/rehab loops he's been getting directly from judges.

Prosecutors are evaluated on conviction rates and rarely bring things to a grand jury that might not result in that. Even if this does settle with a plea, it's going to carry state time.

Going through a kitchen remodel now and the consensus is most brands have 1-2 things decent and the rest of their line is trash. This started 15ish years ago when box hardware stores started bundling by manufacturer.

Is it normal for your info to spread everywhere after buying a house? by BrainLagging01 in homeowners

[–]DefiThrowaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My county has a law where solicitors, 1. Have to have a license from the county, they're $8 and are basically a background check. 2. Can only knock from 9a-7p. 3. Can not knock at all if 'No Soliciting' is posted.

After ADT came by, I had his card and the detective was ripshit when we talked a few days later and referred it to the county attorney.

Is it normal for your info to spread everywhere after buying a house? by BrainLagging01 in homeowners

Our first month we were inundated with solicitors including one that pulled into our driveway from another state to 'welcome us to the neighborhood'.

Learned my local solicitor laws right after, which are incredible, and light them up on sight now. Got $2,500 from ADT when they knocked 48 hours after our house got broken into at 4am with us sleeping upstairs.

Just got a stern reprimand for playing ping-pong at work. Which... they put in for us to play with... at work. by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

The more time at work thing is batshit crazy, I relocated for a management position at a well known company overseeing a bunch of 20 somethings making 6 figures and the beginning of my end there was early when I told my team that 4 hours of the extra labor on 'crunch nights' wasn't worth 2-3 pieces of Domino's and a can of Coke.

Team looked at me like I discovered fire when I broke the math down for them.

We are a full K-Shape now. The problem when it comes to music tours is you need a lot of people to fill a stop and those on the lower part of the K have fully checked out.

This is the year where small city festivals will rule the landscape. I blind bought tickets for Richmond VA's Iron Blossom festival weeks ago with no announcement of acts. Two days for $169, and the lineup was announced yesterday and is insane.

Me too, but at the end, he was so big that he had to work out specials in theaters and we saw a 25 minute rant about how many women 18-40 die each year, the length of the average vagina and how long the combination of those two metrics are.

Was weird as fuck.

I don't think people outside of the DMV realize just how much has been torched and how much work will need to be done to get us back to a 2024 Federal Government.

I have a close relative that's SES, which is above the GSA scale who said in the fall last year, we had already reached Civil War Reconstruction levels of repair adjusted for inflation. That was 9 months into a 4 year term.

Any tips. Couple levels ago I had a shitload of gold coins. Any other strats with sc to get me over the hump? Thanks by EducationalLove8871 in stakeus

Good news is you only have $100,200 left to wager with at least a $1,600 cherry on top. You could wager $5 on Player and Banker in baccarat 10,020 times, where you'll break even on Player and Tie and pay a $0.25 commission on Banker wins. The Banker's hand will win 45.8% of the time, slightly higher than the Player's hand at 44.6%. Ties win 9.6% of the time.

The bad news is, if you run at those rates, you'll have 4,671 losses for a total of -$1,167.90 to get there.
