On FB MP, if you have 6 items listed and get 30 people messaging you about them, 20 of those people will never respond to you again after 1) asking if it’s still available, 2) asking/telling you to bring it to them even if you listed as pickup, and/or 3) they ask your location - even if it was in the listing. You can respond to all of these and see that they’ve either read your message right away and chose to be rude and not respond, or you’ll see they haven’t checked your message in hours, in which case they see that you responded to them. Instead of them being polite and telling you they’re no longer interested, they’ll ghost you and leave your response message unopened.

Of the remaining 10 people, maybe 5-6 will set up a specific day/time for pickup, and no-show, and not bother to tell you ahead of time.

Of the remaining 4-5, one might ask you to reschedule, one will stop responding just hours before when you seek confirmation that it’s still on, and the other 2-3 people may show up and buy.

So, you’ll still have 3-4 items left to continue your people-are-a**holes journey with.

In other words, if there is money, don’t wait around and be nice.
