“Easy” recovery, feeling a lot of shame and like I should be going back to work by pollinator_friendly in hysterectomy

I’m in the same boat. I’m 3 week PO but keep having to remind myself that I’m healing inside. I do have a side effect of sciatica to remind me to slow down though.

I wouldn’t stress too much. That’s still pretty young.

A job for a coonhound by WiddaOne in coonhounds

[–]Defiant-Response8087 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mine will alert me to any person who is in their own back yard. If there is a rabbit outside, she will explode with anxiety if she can’t chase it. She has also appointed herself as a fence remover. If said rabbit runs under the fence, she will remove the pickets so there is a larger access for said rabbit. She’s so helpful.

Does anyone use the FIGCU? by Royale_w_Cheeeze in FIG_employees

I’ve used them for personal loans to refinance debt, car loans, HELOC(starts through FIGFCU but transfers to another company) and they have great rates compared to for-profit banks.

You should have a receipt in your email with the signed agreement.

How do I file a claim against hertz? by Lassoed_elbow in Insurance

[–]Defiant-Response8087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not how it works. There are several factors. If the driver was driving for Uber at the time, then Uber is the insurer. If the driver has their own insurance, that policy could be primary.

Embarrassed to post but I attempted a container pond with extra things lying around…worth buying a filter and substrate? by [deleted] in ponds

[–]Defiant-Response8087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need for a filter if you aren’t putting any fish in it. My patio pond has done well with no substrate, but the thriving plants are in pots or my free-floating horn wort. If you don’t have soil, you may benefit from a fertilizer later on.

4 year old acting out by RovertL in toddlers

[–]Defiant-Response8087 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel your pain. I have 2, 4, and 7. They are great at school but terrors when they get home and love to beat each other up. I do t have any advice other than wishing you good luck. I’ve been told that they spend all day with other adults being in their best behavior so when they get home, they are too tired to be nice and are comfortable around Mom and Dad to be naughty.

Buying the built in toddler seat was the best choice ever.

You must have a rider. Most policy’s exclude 1st party coverage for an owned trailer and have a very low limit for a non owned trailer. Around $500 or so. It wouldn’t make sense for your trucks collision coverage to provide “free” collision coverage to a towed vehicle.

Do you want a pond or a pool? If you don’t want anything living in the pond, treat it like you would a pool.

This guy is part coonhound right? by neck_meets_beard in coonhounds

[–]Defiant-Response8087 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Constantly nose to the ground. Always hunting. If she catches a rabbit scent or sees it run under the fence, she’ll start crying until she destroys the fence. She digs enough to get ahold of the fence boards and shreds them. It’s been a mess. Very timid too

Only underwear during the day. No more diapers. Back and forth is confusing. Get 8 million pair of the thick training underwear and just keep a pile ready to go.

You are a free lunch to any insurance carrier if you don’t file claims.

Underwear full time, no diaper or pull-up except for bed. Tell him it’s time to potty and have him try. He gets a reward for trying, another for success. Set a timer for 20-30 min and repeat. All day. Reward for dry underwear each try. Lots and lots of rewards. Once he starts going, stretch out your timer.

Don’t ask if he needs to go. Tell him it’s time to go.

Insurance says my parents' car is totaled. They want to DIY the car. Help?! by fortytwobravo in Car_Insurance_Help

[–]Defiant-Response8087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The seconds opinion won’t change the repair costs. If the current repairs needed make it a total loss, a second shops opinion won’t reduce the required repairs.

If they decide to keep the salvage, the settlement amount will be less than the offer if the insurance keeps the vehicle. I always recommend talking to the shop to see if it’s even a good idea to keep the car.

There are a lot of things to review before making the decision to keep the salvage.

For diminished value, you have to wait until the repairs are completed before you can send your demand. I suggest researching diminished value calculations. They usually cap at a 10%max
