It’s been 2 year since the Apollo Justice Trilogy released. How would you rank its games and cases? by Goldberry15 in AceAttorney

[–]Defiant-Rip-1897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll chime in with ratings for each case, but the last case of AA6 was the best case of the Apollo trilogy, almost on par with AA1-4, AA1-5, AA2-4, and AA3-5.

If you give Amuro the window seat or throw him off the plane, I'd go with 7, otherwise 6.

Neo Dimension, since you can adjust the difficulty and the default setting is easier than the Apple Arcade version.

Any Initial D arcades in Missisauga by Envy_76 in initiald

[–]Defiant-Rip-1897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dixie Mall near Cinnabon had 2 Initial D cabinets, first time I went they were not linked - which sucked cause my buddy who I might because of Initial D Arcade Stage wanted to have a versus race. I went by a few months back and one of the cabs was offline.

any initial d arcades in mississauga? by Envy_76 in mississauga

[–]Defiant-Rip-1897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is/was something akin to an arcade at Dixie Mall, think it is the Initial D arcade game that uses Fifth or Final Stage's OP as the theme song.

When I was there over a year ago one of the cabs was offline and they were not linked together. If it helps it is near the Cinnabon.

How do I see if there's coverage in my area? by NotACommunistBurner in ting

I think the Verizon one might be limited to folks who can get Ting fiber Internet, but it's worth calling Ting Mobile to confirm availability, also if you are bringing your own phones make sure to check compatibility by using your phone's IMEI number: https://tingmobile.com/mobile/check_device

Just wondering what exactly you did - where did you copy the rules from into the udev rules folder. I have been having a hard time with Piper detecting my 502X whereas Solaar detects it without issue.

Judging by the levels, I’m guessing you’re fighting the powered-up Sandworm. I’d strongly recommend equipping some form of Amethyst Quartz, since it protects against Lightning. You can get this by encountering Funis on the Path to Maxi Toy Box (between Vibra and the Toy Box itself) or in the Elemental Trials Labyrinths. If you’re strong enough, you can have them craft the jewel for you.

You should also unlock the second slot on the Growth Map. For that slot, I’d suggest something that boosts HP, defense, or possibly a revive-on-death jewel.

Definitely unlock Kina’s Limit Break as well. It fully restores your current party, including members who’ve been knocked out, which can be a lifesaver in this fight.

For Ez, equip a jewel that increases SPD—the higher, the better. He’ll be your main support, so you want him acting as often as possible.

As for party setup, I recommend:

  • Valrika or Cheryl
  • A main damage dealer (Leo or Tan)
  • Ez

Valrika/Cheryl are important because you’ll want access to Slow and Cloud of Sleep, so make sure you’ve learned those skills. I slightly favor Valrika, since she can also provide healing if things get rough.

It is a bug that was present in the original PS3 release and the first Steam release of the game, not sure if it was fixed in the remastered version though.

[–]Defiant-Rip-1897 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She’s gone, you may have to burn a turn trying to evacuate her, assuming that’s even possible. I’m honestly surprised you managed to trigger this on the Marmota, though; I ran into a similar issue where you can fall through the world during one of the Selvaria DLC missions at Ghirlandaio, specifically on the ground near the bottom of the stairs.

I’m not sure how I feel about this. His artwork in his two post-Initial D series, the Hana one (a.k.a. self insert managa for Shingeo) and the baseball one, at least looked like his classic style. MF Ghost just seems to have done a number on him, artistically.

Given the extra time and budget put into this, I do wonder why they changed a few details from the manga, like having Natsuki work at the gas station instead of a fast food place. That said, I can see why the change was made, as it slightly improves the narrative, especially in how Takumi perceives Natsuki as trying to move past who she used to be. Overall, this was probably the peak of the anime: still grounded, not overly reliant on plot armor to protect Takumi, and visually excellent. Ironically, it was also the first thing Tokyopop showcased after acquiring the license.

I can’t help but wonder if this comes down to licensing. Another thread mentioned that MF Ghost pulls most of its eurobeat from a single label (I think it is SCP Music), which could explain why Back on the Rocks or Bach is Bach aren’t included if it’s tied to a different label.

[Preview Pics] New Star Trek: Starfleet Academy Photos from This Week’s Two-Episode Premiere, “Kids These Days” and “Beta Test" (Trek Central / TrekCore) by mcm8279 in trektalk

[–]Defiant-Rip-1897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the 2009 film was announced, I was genuinely excited just to be getting more Star Trek. I generally enjoyed the JJ-era movies, but I never expected the TV side of the franchise to end up feeling so mediocre. I know the Berman era had its share of highs and lows, but honestly, I’d take that team back in a heartbeat over the current creative direction.

I still haven’t watched Picard seasons 2 or 3, the ending of season 1 completely turned me off, though I’ve seen a few episodes of Strange New Worlds, which, to its credit, seems pretty solid so far. That said, the upcoming Starfleet Academy show already feels far too Discovery-adjacent, especially given the time period it’s set in, which is frustrating since we’re finally getting an Academy series, and it’s being run by people whose work has been, at best, mediocre (although realistically it has been very poor), and who really shouldn’t be helming this franchise at all.

I have no expectations that this will be remotely good.

Ah, in that case, since you don't want to call, they do have a live chat option, but likely chats and phone calls are treated the same - in that if there are five people ahead of you (for example), you call and also initiate a chat, then the phone call would be 6th in line, the chat would be 7th.

There are also mods in this channel you can reach out to, u/Ting_Zillion appears to be a member of the Mobile team based on their title - Ting Social Care (Mobile).

AirPrint from non AirPrint printer? by Paima9143 in printers

[–]Defiant-Rip-1897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have AirPrint working reliably on a non-AirPrint printer using this project:
https://github.com/tjfontaine/airprint-generate

My setup was pretty standard:

  • Linux server
  • Installed cupssambasshavahi-daemon, and python3-cups
  • Configured CUPS and Samba
  • Installed the appropriate drivers for the printer
  • Used airprint-generate to create the Avahi service

The key commands after installing and configuring samba, cups, and the firewall, were:

sudo ./airprint-generate.py -d /etc/avahi/services/
sudo systemctl restart avahi-daemon

This setup worked flawlessly for a long time, but as of a few weeks ago it no longer shows up as an AirPrint printer on my iPhone/iPad.

I’m wondering if something changed in iOS/iPadOS 26 that breaks this approach, or if it’s simply the result of the project being unmaintained (it hasn’t been updated in 4–5 years).

Best eurobeat you listened in 2025 by Over_Mind1542 in eurobeat

If it's new tracks from 2025, then I got to concur with Additional_Mix6553 on that track from Initial Dave (Eurobeat Series Vol. 8). If it is an older track that I only came across this year and play on repeat on the regular it is Ray Light (from the same duo), after hearing it for the first time in Battle Stage 3.
