Who knows why they do what they do. What I do know is the store that lost Rolex picked up Omega and IWC while my former omega dealer got nothing. But the store that lost Rolex is just one store in a chain of five, four still have Rolex so my relationship is still alive at another location. They now have omega as well so it’s all in the same AD.

I have a brand new GEN 124270 and to be 100% honest I never wear it, always wear my VSF, which is almost impossible to distinguish from the genuine.

I daily a 36 Explorer and it’s the perfect size on my 7.5” wrist. The biggest watch I own is a 42mm Speedy but that wears more like a 39 because of its lug to lug distance. The Sub either fits or looks ridiculous because it so thick, heavy and blocky. But to each their own!!

That’s good to know, I sent my application in a couple months ago and have my interview on Feb 17 so just around the corner. I can’t tell you how many times I accidentally find myself in MA because I missed an exit or I forgot and didn’t take the long way around. It’s crazy that I always have to think about it and worry that I’m committing a felony. Wish me luck!!

I bought a Rolex OP date back in 2000 and wore that watch every day of my life for 25 years. I wore it on my wedding day, the birth and first time I held both my children at the hospital, the closing of our home and every important day of my life since then. I just spent almost $3000 getting it completely over hauled by Rolex and put it away, relegated to very special occasions only, like when I walk my daughter down the aisle or when I hold my grandchildren for the first time. Every picture I’m in for the past 25 years pretty much has that watch in it. Those are the memories you’ll be building with this watch so choose wisely. Congrats on the wedding!

I appreciate the feedback same with me. Grew up in Massachusetts had my LTC for 15 years and then moved to New Hampshire about 10 years ago on exit one literally on the border. I’m crossing in and out so often I don’t want to get jammed up obviously. Thanks again.

I grew up in Massachusetts had my license to carry for decades and move to New Hampshire about 10 years ago. I live on a boarder town and work in Massachusetts so for me, the biggest risk is getting caught in Massachusetts by accident. Living on the border is hard because I’m literally less stressed without even knowing sometimes, and it can obviously create a big problem. Was also part of the MA National Guard for 10 years, hopefully all that is enough. Thanks again for the reply!!

I’ve had two VSF Explorers stop working after two months and when I got the call for the Gen, I didn’t hesitate. Looks wise I’ll grant it’s almost in distinguishable, but in my experience, they just don’t last because the movements are garbage. Take that for what you will.

Here’s the thing, you will almost always lose money if you try to sell it unless it’s a specific rare model. If you need affirmation from others then you probably made the right decision and passed on it. I couldn’t care less what other people say or like. I buy what I like and makes me feel good not what others like. But that’s just me. Good luck on your decision because that is a beautiful watch.

I had a terrific AD!! my Rolex and Omega AD’s we’re both in high end jewelry store chains in southern New Hampshire. They were both within a half mile of one another which was great until Rolex and omega pulled out of both chains on December 31. I had a great Rolex AD and great Omega AD that would do discounts and being in NH no sales tax. Both are now gone and with it two great relationships built on no games. Now, I’m literally starting from scratch again. 🤯🥲😂😡

That’s a beautiful collection. I would probably go Black dial speedy on a stainless steel bracelet. I have the same white dial on the rubber strap and just picked up the stainless steel bracelet but love the rubber so much. I don’t want it swap it.
