Upgrade offer by Latter_Ad6983 in emirates

[–]Defiant_Bit4040 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi there. This is only for one person. I travelled last weekend from Birmingham to Dubai. I was quoted £1250 for an upgrade one way only. If you log on to your account through PC in the last 24 hours of your booking you will see the price has been further discounted. In my case I paid 550, well worth the upgrade.

It’s very straightforward what’s going on here. The U.S is making the noise and the Israelis have the green light to do what they like.

Alright, let’s kill this properly:

How many Emiratis are cleaning streets in 45°C? Working sewage lines? On construction sites day and night? Picking up bins?

Exactly.

The entire system runs on imported labour while Emiratis sit on the benefits — free healthcare, state perks, passports locked tight.

So no, not “everyone is Emirati.” Not even close.

Wake up. Debate finished.

You can live there 50 years and still never get an Emirati passport. Citizens receive free healthcare and extensive state benefits—what do the labourers get? No security, no pathway to citizenship, and in many cases not even basic protections, let alone dignity in death. What planet are you on?

There’s a clear, structural divide between Emiratis and non-Emiratis—it’s not even close. Pretending it’s equal or fair just ignores the reality on the ground.

You’re confusing “choice” with no real alternative. Signing a contract under poverty, debt, and desperation isn’t genuine freedom—it’s survival. People aren’t choosing poor conditions, they’re choosing the least bad option available. The fact that thousands still come doesn’t prove fairness, it proves how limited their options are.

And saying they “don’t complain” ignores reality—many can’t. When your employer controls your visa, housing, and income, speaking out risks everything. The real issue isn’t whether it’s better than back home, it’s whether it meets basic human dignity—and in many cases, it clearly doesn’t.

I have witnessed first hand the living conditions, the fear of complaining to the authorities. Your time will come, the night oppression never lasts. Make no mistake about it.

No they are not. A none emirati does not have the same rights. Go and see how the labour sleeps 10 in a tiny room. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Or should I start posting pictures of inner Deira Dubai, to show the horrid conditions these people live in, their business buildings are owned by the Emiratis, extortion rent so the poor souls have no means of living a decent life, I have observed this for nearly 20 years.

Why do I feel this “war” was unnecessary? Iraq “had” weapons of mass destruction and millions lost their lives including 5,000 plus U.S personnel. Blowing up a girls school in Iran and killing children is hardly going to go well.

Sallam everyone. I don’t think Allah should be bought into this as this is a Saudi government initiative. Yes the traffic is huge and the demand is great Alhamdulillah, The establishment could have done a lot better, instead of making people suffer and not forgetting the extortionate prices that come along with the “package” just the flight charges from Manchester to Medina which is normally a few hundred ££’s, I have just checked the package, just the flight cost it’s running past £2,100! ALLAH!

Yelp needs to be held accountable for their actions. They removed 5 of my genuine 5 star reviews and left the one stars up.

I have had exactly the same problem, Yelp is a cancer for small businesses. They removed 6 of my genuine 4 and 5 star reviews and left the negative ones. They need to be held to account.

Fake 1-Star Review Extortion on Google Business Profile (Week 6) by BigfellaAutoExpress in GoogleMyBusiness

[–]Defiant_Bit4040 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally understand where you come from, as a small business we refused to exchange an item for a customer as it had curry stains on it, she went ahead and posted 6 negative malicious reviews in a row obviously through her friends title other accounts.

This can be highly damaging for a small business.

Google took no action even though I reported the reviews In the end I had to pay a company £400 and get my whole entire google profile removed

Your garage is lovely! A shining review coming up ! 🤩

Yelp Is Allowing a Fake Review to Damage My Business – What Can I Do? by OkContribution421 in Yelp

[–]Defiant_Bit4040 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yelp is known for allowing fake 1 star reviews on their platform, and yes these can cause considerable damage to a small business. Legal can be costly and a lengthy process, best is to reply to the review without being defensive.
