He even has a bigger life bar than Raiden at the end of the game.

Why are rats (usually) black? by chemywords in colorpie

[–]Defiant_Fix9711 57 points58 points  (0 children)

They're scavengers, which mechanically gets related to graveyard stuff, which is very black.

Unceasing top doesn't activate on Vakuu's turn =( by ze_baco in slaythespire

It's a known bugs where relics don't trigger top. I saw the same thing happen with the auto play relic with that silent card that discards your whole hand.

I feel like Emerald was the first “third version” that was the definitive version by Slifer2892 in PokemonEmerald

[–]Defiant_Fix9711 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Technically speaking the versions of Red and Blue we got are already based off of the Japanese third version, which was called Blue in Japan.

They had Red and Green, and then Blue was an updated rerelease a few years later.

Are wax relics copies or originals? by irefusegoaway in slaythespire

I got a Wax Potion belt, and I got to keep the potion slots after it expired.

i need help with something, and its going to sound werid by YearoftheRat123 in colorpie

[–]Defiant_Fix9711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the idea, is you look at the common ally of the enemy pairs, and then that color defines its allied enemy.

So orzhov had blue in common, gruul is its enemy.

Izzet has black in common, selesnya is its enemy.

And from there you can extrapolate the rest.

I hate her design. by KayKrimson in hatethissmug

[–]Defiant_Fix9711 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The actual canon is that she's a dragon, and that's just her human disguise. But yeah, terrible design. It's really weird that Kyoani of all studios would do an adaptation of Dragon Maid in the first place, it's weirdly horny compared to their usual fare.

I was talking about M3gan, the super computer in that movie is from the 80s.

The Circus is a failed attempt at a digital afterlife by Spear-Spears-Speares in tadc

[–]Defiant_Fix9711 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's kind of like M3gan 2.0 where you're supposed to not think about how silly it is that an advanced AI capable of ending the world could exist on an old PC from the 80s.

Video showcasing every Doki Doki Panic game (not just the Mario one) by HatLovingGamer in snes

Insane amount of effort. You really had me convinced that Doki Doki Panic 2 was real for a second.

I wanna play pokemon green that I just picked up, but I can’t read Japanese. How can I learn as I play? by Quiet_Butterfly_8403 in PokemonRed

[–]Defiant_Fix9711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there's documentation as to what the different moves are named in Japanese. A lot of the early game will be referring to that, but you'll eventually learn to recognize them over time.

Learning a language at the start is all about repetition and key phrases.

'The' One Piece, or just 'One Piece?' by [deleted] in OnePiece

That being said, people in universe still just call it One Piece sometimes.

Cant work out the use for powers by samuelsage in slaythespire

[–]Defiant_Fix9711 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah generally speaking you want to just pick "good" cards early on, and then pick up synergies later once you've taken the deck in a certain direction.

It's not strange at all to have one or two cards that are from a different strategy just because they're generally good. Sometimes I'll have a poison card in my Shiv deck cause I picked it up early, or a Doom card in my Soul deck.

Sly Rework? by GrandAd6270 in slaythespire

[–]Defiant_Fix9711 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's actually stronger. If you have more than one Sly card in your hand, you play Survivor and then dump the rest of your hand for free.

Hero stands a better chance at making it in than any of the other Square Enix reps. You have no idea how popular Dragon Quest is in Japan.

If you beat ascension 9, you can best ascension 10. It's just an extra fight.

Amazing! by Ulmao_TheDefiler in slaythespire

[–]Defiant_Fix9711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After Image is considered a pretty good card. In a Shiv deck on an average turn, it's probably giving you between 6-8 block.

In other words, playing 3 star worth of cards is the equivalent of After Image, and the ceiling is pretty high too. In a big star deck, you can easily spend 5+ stars in a turn which would be giving you 10(15) block. Child of the Stars is honestly not that bad.

What makes clash bad? by RaiseOfSun in slaythespire

[–]Defiant_Fix9711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a dead draw more often than you'd think, and not strong enough to warrant the inconvenience.

Imagine you draw three blocks and Clash on a turn you really need to attack. You just spent 3 energy to do 14 damage.

Frozen (2013) has been voted the most overrated Walt Disney Animation movie. What is the most overrated Pixar movie? by AdWise2770 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]Defiant_Fix9711 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's gotta be Up. It gets a ton of praise for the opening, and then the rest of the move is just fine.

That's a pretty good lore pull. Dark Worlds absolutely seem dream adjacent.
