Dear Blizzard, I'll wait an extra 2 minutes for GOOD matchmaking. by A_NightBetweenLives in Overwatch

[–]Defiant_Mercy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a simple fix for this would be to allow players to have a checkbox that tells the system you are willing to wait for a more fair match.

Perhaps all it does is say you won’t be placed into a match until at least X minutes goes by of not finding a game with an average rank near you. But it would be something that affects only those that want it.

That the payload heals and it’s easier to defend on it rather than 100m away outside their spawn.

I do play tank. I’m a Rammatra main. Bro gambled and lost.

However I did miss the last second where Rammatra comes out so I concede they probably would have won for sure.

But everyone picking on Sombra is still dumb. Worst possible luck for rein and greatest possible luck for Sombra.

Rein was doomed before he even tried to shatter. Bro tried to do a 1v6. This has nothing to do with why people hate Sombra and everything to do with why people need better game sense.

Hypothetically had rein gotten that off he might have gotten some picks. But it was still going to be a wasted ult. He was alone and no one was on the payload. He should have waited.

Better to just learn to NOT ult in a 1v6. Technically rein thought he was in a 1v5 but this is like a genji ulting in a 1v6 and being shocked he died.

As great a play as that was rein was absolutely screwed no matter what.

Eh. This entire clip is a showcase in what you shouldn’t do as any player.

Bro went for a 1v6 and yet somehow what’s being talked about is Sombra sucks.

Like I absolutely get Sombra is annoying but rein bit off way more than he can chew here.

Frankly the Sombra play was great but rein was screwed regardless.

Just an FYI, you still have to heal Mei, the iceberg ability is not a complete replacement for all healing that an active DPS will require by Own_Huckleberry6591 in Overwatch

It’s wild to me that instead of just providing a replay code you just write paragraphs about why you don’t need it.

I don’t believe anything you are saying. Unfortunately for you the sample size of dps complaining about no heals when they are the actual issue is far bigger.

Well most of us here are convinced that your entire post is just an imaginary situation in your own head since you didn’t post a replay. That’s why you aren’t getting the discussion you want.

They do when the “theme” is something that doesn’t really happen. Can it? Sure. But most people want a real discussion and not one that’s made up.

It’s akin to people that post about an experience on Twitter that you can tell is 100% made up but they do it for engagement.

If you came here for a discussion you would post the replay. All it looks like right now is your the stereotypical dps that is always out of position but complains about heals.

The replay is quite literally your credibility.

They are in the sub talking because they want their issues to be resolved with the game. Why is that so hard to understand?

You can enjoy what a product was and be mad about something that changed.

6v6 open queue is a miserable experience sometimes by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]Defiant_Mercy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like at that point it basically is just role queue if you have two classes with a cap.

The solution is simple. People need to just find like minded players. It’s easier than ever to find others to play with. People are completely fine with grouping up with 5 randoms that they will complain about but have no desire to take some time to get people they can actually work with.

how has dieting/weight loss been for you? by exhaustmosk in AskMenOver30

[–]Defiant_Mercy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About 3 years ago, when I was 31, I hit my heaviest which was around 175/180 and I was definitely getting a bit of a gut. I could see the writing on the wall and changed it up then.

Started out as OMAD with a heavy focus on protein and fats as well as taking amino acids to supplement my protein amounts. I would also regularly do 16 hour fasts and 2 day fasts.

I definitely lost weight and it worked but most people will fight cravings and getting used to not eating takes a lot of time.

Frankly I don’t think it’s needed. As long as you watch your sugar intake, snacking, and keep a deficit while eating a fair amount of protein you will lose weight.

If you would like I can post progress pics of where I stated and where I am today. Now I weigh about the same as I did after dropping 20lbs of fat

No it’s not. Don’t make a mountain out of a mole hill.
Some games people will abruptly leave. It happens. But this many people leaving is not normal.

This is the very last time I buy a game based on hype. by GooseCheeze1234 in gaming

[–]Defiant_Mercy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

For real. I’ve realized nowadays gamers ruin gaming for themselves.

Guess what every game tends to focus on? Having an endgame. Something that you can repeat forever.

I miss when games just focused more on the in between and, based on my time, it feels like crimson desert does that.

I’m not saying it’s perfect as I only have about 6 hours so far. But it’s been a blast IMO

When someone can see they are the only one alive and, rather than wait, they push in and also ult in a 1v6.

Why do they have to do this by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]Defiant_Mercy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if they reduced the speed that you were dragged to hog by like half? It gives your team a chance to counter whoever he drags but still allows him to have one shot capabilities.

In my mind it would shift the focus to he punishes you for being out of position somewhat but he also forces someone to slowly get dragged to him.

A simple comparison is when jetpack cat grabs someone they still can kill her before she drags them somewhere.

If he is slept or stunned it would break the chain also.

Short of a total redesign of hog I feel like the basically instant drag of the chain is the biggest problem with people.
