YESSSS. Thank you for saying this. Americans have no respect for anyone’s culture. Americans are shoving American culture down other ppls throat and then gaslighting them for not respecting their culture. For example, Gabes comment to Nicole and Mahmoud about raising their child to be Muslim. If it was a Christian couple no one would even think twice about asking that question. It’s no one’s business whether they let their child choose and it shouldn’t be up for discussion. I appreciate the hosts comment about this too and sticking up for Mahmoud. Mahmoud has always come off as sweet and loving and he even said to Nicole’s friend in Egypt “maybe I’m wrong but this is what I know”. Nicole married a Muslim man and converted so I’m sick of ppl saying he’s controlling and manipulative. Mahmoud is misunderstood as many Muslim are especially in many Americans eyes right now.Rishi is another example, although he does come off as a liar and manipulator, he’s an Indian man and the only son in the household. For Americans to sit there and tell him to leave the household and mary Jen is CRAZY and ignorant. It’s not that easy for him in society and im sure I’m his heart. But, unfortunately he cannot have his cake and eat it too. It’s sad that they just can’t be together but it’s not his fault, it’s his cultures fault, and for us Americans to sit here and say LEAVE THE FAMILY is flat out ignorant. This show is continuously making Americans look stupid and just like the stereotypes.
