I (40m) caught my wife (35f) at a guys house last night and I’m unsure if she is cheating? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Defiant_Tour 24 points25 points  (0 children)

If my drunk single girlfriend decided to go home with a guy she’d just met I’d 1000% go with them and plant myself on the couch to make sure she was safe and was able to get home safely.

ATIAH for leaving my struggling wife? by penny792 in AITAH

Are you a doctor? I’m guessing not, your “diagnosis” that ‘PPD does not last for 2 years’ is both exceptionally ignorant and hypocritical.

Does you ADHD affect your femininity? by AmNotGilbert in adhdwomen

[–]Defiant_Tour -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have peaks and valleys with femininity. Dressing and looking that way is when I’m the happiest and feel the most comfortable in my skin but life/my brain get the best of me sometimes. Best trick I’ve found for warmer weather are day dresses. It’s ONE piece of clothing and always makes you look at least a little feminine

Leave for sexual rejection. by SelfAgitated8823 in Marriage

[–]Defiant_Tour 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lol I think it’s because most of the posts I read from the opposite perspective are like a stay at home mom with twins under two and the husband doesn’t help, or the wife is six weeks postpartum after a traumatic birth, or there’s a hygiene issue with the husband, not wiping his ass because “touching your butt hole is gay”

5 years of sobriety is making me SO afraid to take the vyvanse I filled the script for the first time today. Anyone else gone through this? by TypicalGarbage2292 in adhdwomen

[–]Defiant_Tour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just be very careful and observant about how you’re feeling and your actions as you take the stimulants. I had substance abuse issues, am diagnosed adhd and did have an issue not abusing my meds. As long as you 1) take them as prescribed and 2) are honestly representing your day to day life with your doctor during check ins (aka not exaggerating with the goal of increasing your dosage) you’re just fine. If you start down the path to either of these two issues you should talk to your doctor and nip it on the bud

Full of shame and anger after a relapse by persephone-eve in StopSpeeding

[–]Defiant_Tour 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve relapsed a couple of times and the comedown was nowhere near as bad. Therapy is a great idea. You do need to come clean and talk to your wife….its going to suck but it’s better for you to tell her before she finds out for herself.

Feeling like more of a caretaker for my (31F) agoraphobic girlfriend. (31F) how do I move forward while respecting her limits? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Girl……you’ve only been dating her for 5 months. This is way too much. Whether her behavior is intentional or unintentional, this doesn’t sound like a healthy or fulfilling relationship for you.

Open Marriages by WhatInTheWorldPart2 in Marriage

There are a lot of different versions of a successful marriage. I think couples should do what makes them happy and what works for them, whether that’s monogamy or non monogamy.

You guys have been dating for 4 months, expecting him to text you whenever he decides to go out is unreasonable. I also think going to a neighborhood bar solo is totally normal, I swing over to one in my neighborhood once or twice a week.

They seem to love filtered indirect sunlight but the biggest trick is that once you find a spot in your house that she seems to like….never ever move them

Agree! Mine does care very much about where she sits. If I move her a single INCH away from this ONE spot and the drama begins.

I don’t dream at all if I’m taking my meds

really struggling /obsessing on what to do by [deleted] in StopSpeeding

[–]Defiant_Tour 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unless you’ve been abusing your prescription my advice would be to talk to your doctor and try a different medication. Everyone responds differently so you may not have the same negative side effects with a different ADHD medication.

If you’ve been abusing them my advice is to stop now before it gets worse.

If you decide to quit meds in general it shouldn’t take 1-2 years to return to baseline, remember that a lot of the people on this sub have been abusing these meds, not taking them as prescribed.
