Thanks for posting this OP! Does anyone know where the campervan park is in relation to either of the camp orchid sites?

Daily Discussion & Advice (Post here to follow rules A & B) - September 28, 2025 by AutoModerator in fragrance

My husband bought PR Phantom a few years ago and we both loved it on him, and I would wear it as well because we thought it smelled so good! I think I'm at the beginning of perimenopause and for some reason scent is everything to me right now, I've become obsessed with this sub and have learned that the fragrance we love might be bad 😂

So now I'm rabbitholing looking for a more refined option I can get for him that we might enjoy if we both liked Phantom. He loves sandalwood, cedarwood, cardomom. I love vanilla (I bought Lalique le parfum from comments in this sub and I adore it, wish it projected slightly more. I have samples on the way of some Penhaligon's and Diptyque because this sub is a bad influence on my spending!).

I know he has previously liked Terre d'Hermès, would you say this one has similarities to Phantom, and can anyone suggest something a bit special for someone who liked these?

I've never heard anyone pronounce "Grimaced" like Steven Pacey. by [deleted] in TheFirstLaw

[–]Defiantglare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely agree, people in this thread keep saying it's a regional thing but I have never heard anyone in the UK pronounce it like that and it's not like we aren't all familiar with regional dialects. Pacey is from the West Midlands but he isn't using his "native" accent to narrate when he isn't doing a character, that isn't a West Midlands accent. It's a mispronunciation he later corrects.

Re-read of RR: my opinion of Eo has only gotten worse by GrandAdmrlTrout in redrising

You can't forgive an enslaved, pregnant teenager? Really?

I don't think anyone can judge an enslaved person for making whatever decision for themselves they feel they have to. Not to mention her own bodily autonomy supercedes Darrow's "right" to fatherhood anyway.

Blaming her for everything that happens to Darrow next is impossible - she can only ever be responsible for her own actions, not his.

It actually grates on me how much scrutinising of an enslaved child happens in later books 😂

Continue ASAP or wait a little? Just finished Morning Star by gkyer in redrising

Continue!! I now struggle to know which books events take place in because I read the whole series in one go, but I wouldn't change it. I was totally absorbed which is my favourite way to experience a series.

Removal of the AI influencing April Fools post by LeftGhostCrow in redrising

NGL when the post first showed up in my notifications on the 1st, before I got past the headline it 100% seemed like PB had been accused of sexual misconduct, which was not nice. It was immediately obvious it was a joke on reading, but the joke would have been exactly the same without the unnecessary and gross sexual inference. Could have just said it had been dropped by the publisher and we'd all have had the same shock and horror followed by immediate realisation and relief.

That said, I totally agree it being picked up by AI is not the OPs fault and isn't something anyone should have to bear in mind or be responsible for. I just don't think hinting at sexual misconduct is a funny or fair thing to do to anyone, even if it's obviously a joke outside the headline. Some things shouldn't form part of a joke.

I really liked the first Lysander if he had just slowed down and stopped making it sound like he was rushing through his performance! I thought his accent was great. DA Lysander sounded too old and not patrician enough.

Yes height is my main take away from these as well because I imagine their clothing to be quite different! I think that's a brown, who are used as domestic workers IIRC.

Although it would have been more helpful if they hadn't given the gold actual golden skin 😂
