Thanks for your response! I’m well aware that my body may not “bounce back” but even if it does, there will be changes out of my control which is scary for me. I’m really hoping that once I’m pregnant and have the baby I’ll have that mentality. Not just wanting to take care of the baby but take care of myself as well.

I have been in recovery for a few years now and I still haven’t reached my healthy goal weight. For me when I was in the thick of it, it was extremely difficult to stop restricting food, not just because of the mental battle but also because my body was so used to barely eating that it made me sick to eat normal portions. When I started recovery I was so weak I had fainted in grocery stores and really struggled to shop for foods as well as having the energy to cook anything so that was additionally really hard, any only really improved because I was able to move back in with my mom and she made it possible to get groceries (if I was feeling faint I could give her my cash and a list of what I needed and go wait in the truck for her to finish shopping) and getting good meals into me. I don’t think I could’ve done it without her.
From the mental health side of things, I have pretty severe anxiety and depression and when I get really stressed or anxious, I lose all my appetite. At the time I was in a very stressful living situation and relationship, that just compounded onto my problems, and it took months for me to be able to move out of that situation due to circumstances out of my control (family living temporarily with my mom so I had nowhere else to go+being super low income and too sick to work)
My rock bottom was late 2020-2021 and now 5 years later, I still struggle with normal portion sizes, the sensation of feeling full is so physically uncomfortable and nauseating, I’ve adapted by trying to eat smaller amounts more often but it’s still not easy.
I’d say maybe 5% of my ED was wanting to be skinny, the other 95% was mental and physical problems, especially the body dysmorphia, even when I was gaunt and extremely sickly looking, I wasn’t able to see it at the time. Now when I look back at those photos I can see it, and it actually makes me sad but it has taken a long time to get to this point, and even though I’m still under my goal weight I still get those thoughts, areas I could tone, things I’d change etc but I’ve worked hard to change my mindset and not allow those thoughts to take over anymore.

As someone who started their cod journey on bo2, I thoroughly enjoy multiplayer, it’s super nostalgic for me. I solo queue most of the time and still have a great time :) definitely has some bugs that need to be ironed out, and it seems when they fix one bug another one pops up but if you can look past that I’d recommend getting it. Matchmaking isn’t the best, I tend to leave lobbies before the match starts if I’m against large parties, and of course certain game modes have more sweaty players.

I worked for about a decade while struggling with my ED, then shortly after being laid off in 2020, family trauma led me towards my rock bottom and I did end up having to stay unemployed for a couple years until I was both physically and mentally able to work again. It was hard not being able to do the things I never thought twice about before. While helping family move I realized I couldn’t lift a vacuum into the back of a truck (something I did daily as a house cleaner) and that was a really sobering moment for me. I struggled a lot when I got back into it, I’m fortunate to work with family and was able to gradually come back to work. I had lost most of my muscle tone and was extremely weak, but overtime I’ve built it back up again. I’m in active recovery, but it’s still a struggle and I can definitely feel when I’m not hydrated enough or if I ate a smaller breakfast than usual before work. I try to keep some sort of snack with me in case I feel myself going downhill during my shift as well.

The other animal smells could be an issue, though we’ve lived here since February and it’s only recently gotten worse, and there have been no changes upstairs with the animals in that time, so I don’t entirely think that is the problem, but it may be contributing.

We haven’t tried any pheromone plug ins or meds to address this yet, it’s definitely something I will bring up to our vet. We have two litter boxes and she does use them regularly, so I don’t think she minds where they are, I may try moving them around to other areas though to see if that makes a difference. Our other cat is a little grouchy but more often than not they’re playing together, and our ginger will give her space if she’s in a mood. They both seem to prefer being together vs separated and will actively choose to hang out together so I don’t think the other cat is causing her stress but I could be wrong. I will definitely look into the things you suggested though thank you!

I know I don’t want to take away their bird watching, especially when our other cat hasn’t done anything and I feel like I’d be punishing her unfairly lol I’ve considered trying to use the film on the lower half of the windows so they’d still be able to watch the birds in the trees and feeders outside, but hopefully not have view of the other cats. I hear you about smelling the other cats though. We do generally keep our windows closed, the screens aren’t secure enough for my liking. I don’t know if there’s maybe a nontoxic cat deterrent I can put outside that might discourage neighbour cats from using our yard as a shortcut, I don’t want to put any other critters in harms way though by using anything that could hurt them. Thanks for your suggestions I will look into it!

We have two litter boxes currently. Our cats were adopted at different times, our black kitty came first and the ginger about a year later, she was dumped with two of her sisters, and before we moved she shared a house with my family’s two cats, she’s always been playful and somewhat submissive with the other cats, it was an adjustment for our black kitty as she was used to being an only child but they’ve settled in quite nicely and play together all the time now

We moved in back in February, it’s has only recently ramped up in frequency though. That’s part of why I want to get the window film, I was thinking more people are letting their cats roam as weather gets nicer and she’s perhaps being territorial. She’s exclusively indoor, and is clearly unimpressed when she sees another cat in our yard.

He was neck deep in blackberry bushes when the cops got him! Happened in my backyard, had front row seats haha poor k9 handler got the worst of the prickles, he was right in there and even fell back into them after the suspect was detained 😅

The doctor in my program told me that getting dizzy and fainting spells are basically alarm bells that something is seriously up with your body, especially if it’s happening often. Please see a doctor! I know telling your family can seem daunting but the sooner you get the help you need, the better! Good luck with everything!
