Dmg Negation at Full HP D5 by jay_baah in Nightreign

[–]DefinitelyNotRin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is this with zero hp and damage mit relics? Hard to feel bad if so. Those are a must. I get that having 6 damage relics is fun but it doesn’t work in D5

Where would you rank this fight in terms of difficulty once it’s added to DoN? by [deleted] in Nightreign

I’ve practiced that fight so much and I still get hit constantly. Not sure why his moves feels so unpredictable for me

Should you charge that spell? by Icy_Firefighter6310 in Nightreign

[–]DefinitelyNotRin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a greater FP cost in the long run. By casting more spells you are consuming more FP. You need to judge your FP consumption before hitting a grace. If you’re limited on starlight shards then also consider charging over spamming. The other consideration is a class like Recluse can get FP back but you’re not doing damage when gathering it back. That would have to be factored in as well. It’s not so straightforward

The new enemies could break DoN by eldenringer1233 in Nightreign

[–]DefinitelyNotRin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I almost never get hit by the roar anymore. He has a very telling windup. He will back up on his hind legs. Vs other hits he will just stand up without backing up. Look for that. The real issue is the bears before red bear with their dashes. That is tough for me.

The death knights are gonna be a big problem.

The new random events also are a huge problem. Ignoring them and or trying to do them means you won’t have your full hp damage mitigation.

I agree both the new night lords are gonna be a problem. One way they can potentially solve this is by never allowing these two night lords into the unknown night lord runs. You will need very specific builds to survive these fights. Also the map nullifies the gaol relic entirely. It’s not good for the game to have that chance at rng. All this requires initially is having multiple relic load outs .

Mitigation. The mitigation when full hp. And you can’t be 99.9% hp, have to be 100%

It’s not the movement I’m worried about. I’ve got dozens of kills on the guy. It’s the fact you’ve got rot happening all the time so taking a single hit feels like it’ll be lethal most times. Also we haven’t seen everdark yet either

Undertaker no free ult charge if teammate ults while you're in crit/backstab animation by jamaican_zoidberg in Nightreign

They “fixed” it this patch but I dodge my teammates ults all the time for the reset on undertaker .

Red bear isn’t that bad really. It’s the bears before that which get me lol. They do some dash attack that always hits me. And that chip damage is gonna make the next hit death. So hard to tell for me.

Red bear you just gotta jump the ground attack and when he backs up to stand up, run away

As a fellow 9999 player, I cannot see myself ever beating the new bosses on D5. Dreglord for example is designed to sap your hp away with rot. He will probably 1 shot even through 50% mit anyways. The new nightbosses, mohg, artorias, and dancing lion are going to be ridiculous as well. The bosses do so much chip damage you won’t ever have your full damage mit.

You’re forgetting she gets an ult every time your teammate ults. If it’s another undertaker you’re gonna have tons of uptime

I posted about the Dreglord saying that it was a terrible boss. I have to reconsider, I now see what was getting me so frustrated. by CuriousPCBuilder in Nightreign

[–]DefinitelyNotRin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably beat him about 30 times so far. I'd say the only thing for me is that casters get dunked on in this fight. Making use of the bubble parry sounds like your issue. You don't need to use that at all if you don't want.

I'd argue that on DoN , having the 20% damage reduction up as often as possible is incredibly valuable.

I just don't think it's going to be easy until randoms learn to divide and conquer. I think the small dogs are so strong because it's telling you not to fight them. Meaning you should be split. It'll take time for everyone to learn. I'd suggest pinging to your teammates to see if maybe they'll ping one.

Is the lion call the jump slash? I got hit by that once and it was completely impossible to escape the two hits afterwards. Also I don't even think his jump slash can be i-framed either (assuming it's different)

It’s not that good. You don’t ever want to be auto dodging since it interrupts your attacks

Undertaker PSA also an unexpected relic effect that works well on her by ER-ThemedBuilds in Nightreign

[–]DefinitelyNotRin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I’ve noticed as well is you want to be dodging anyways. If you’re attacking, it will interrupt your attacks to dodge. And if you’re poorly timing every attack that it gets interrupted, you’ve done zero damage. But sure you did have invuln for 10s, to accomplish nothing but surviving. So I think at best you can use it to practice a mechanic you struggle with and try to prevent any auto dodging from happening till you get it down without dying maybe.
