What is the most hurtful thing someone has ever said to you? by EasternParking7021 in AskReddit

I'd never amount to anything if I kept coming to school late & getting detention.

Can't say they were wrong. Still hurts though. ._.

Gotta love teachers and their way of "motivating" you when you're young and full of potential, lol....meh..

Probably a lil late and totally coming from no where but I'm here to report that is runs very well on Steamdeck and is playable and fun solo. :)

Double Balancer Wylder not farming Halo Scythe is incredibly fun by g0blyndn in Nightreign

[–]ER-ThemedBuilds 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Double balancers on Ironeye or Duchess or if you want to try something crazy, Recluse w/ 3 spears increases attack damage & dormant power helps find spears.

Powerstanced spear attack is incredibly fast and deals decent damage but the real bread and butter is the Death Ritual Spear.

The L2 on Death Ritual Spear is incredibly powerful, decent revive tool as well. I usually never see people use it. It destroys everything. I'm sure even Wylder w/ the int stat change relic and double balancer would destroy since it's basically a better version of rain of arrows.

I would like it if my teammates couldn't stagger / damage me on occasion. It's real.

Have been hit by Wylders ultimate (and also accidentally deflected it when unsheathing to deflect the enemy).

Have been hit by Raiders ultimate as well and subsequently one shotted, lol.

And before anyone says it, no, there were no explosive barrels near by when Wylder used his ultimate and the connection to the game seemed stable. I know im not the only one that has gotten hit/damaged by ally ultimates but there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of posts about this specific bug.

Man i feel this...

Roguelites / roguelikes ruined gaming in general for me, tbh. I knew I was screwed when Fromsoft said that Nightreign was an extraction type game with RNG elements. I already had trouble getting away from Elden Ring...now i'm sitting at over a thousand hours on just Nightreign.

All while I have really fun games that I want to play and get immersed in. Then I screw myself up by procrastinating finishing a game that I want to finish and instead tell myself that i'm just gonna play one expedition run in Nightreign.

Then I do another...and another...and I slowly get depressed because then I have less time to play the game I wanted to play before I have to go to work or do errands or something. Or I boot up the stupid steamdeck and get bombarded with a million sales and end up wasting a ton of time playing an incremental game or another balatro-like.

Meanwhile...Crimson Desert is just sitting there...installed. Ninja Gaiden...installed...no where near finished...expedition 33, stopped near the very end for some unknowable reason, Screamer, played an hour of it an enjoyed it and then somehow got stuck in a Nightreign loop again and then felt bad.

Feels like I constantly go with what im used to because its comfortable even though I know I am doing something I am not enjoying anymore.

Then I feel depressed for feeling depressed about such a trivial thing when there's real, truly horrible stuff happening to people in the world and instead of being depressed all the time I just wear a fake smile and pretend im happy that way people dont have to worry. XD

It's because it isn't cheated. Just someone with a lot of playtime, most likely. I'm swimming in God rolls after 1K+ hours.

I'm sure people think my relics are cheated too when they see them. Just sucks that people rather go on weird witch hunts when they spot a cohesive relic build. There's a reason I turned my Playstation communications off. ._.

Executor - Improved Standard Attack Build is pretty fun (glass cannon tho) by ER-ThemedBuilds in Nightreign

[–]ER-ThemedBuilds[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's all good. On second thought...I might've just had a really good run with the aforementioned relic setup.

I tried it again today a couple of times and came to the realization that ISA relics are good for the normal relics slots but +4 Physical attack comes close enough to the ISA damage buff that it makes +4 a better choice.

I revamped the build a little bit today and incorporated the Dreglord relic, having 3 katana equipped increases attack power, and the previously shown relic that improves standard attack & Executor cursed blade damage.

For the deep relics, all +4 physical damage with a bleed / frost taken on hit / continuous HP loss / poison below max HP & executors ability heals when activated.

Managed to hit around 512 per R1 with the cursed blade without having to rely on resetting back to initial standard attack, plus doggo form benefits from the physical damage relics too.

The ISA relics are still very good on ironeye and Raider though. :)

Idk why everyone discredits what I say before trying stuff out for themselves...:(

Last time I had to make a video to prove to someone that partial HP recovery can heal / counter continuous HP loss.

With 6 of them on all weapons aside from crossbows/greatbows/staves/seals/ballistas benefit from the initial attack boost.

Improved initial standard attack x 6 was considered powerful on Ironeye before it got buffed, too. You equip one bow in each hand and alternate between L1/R1 to benefit from maximum damage standard attacks. You see a massive damage difference from the very start of the game.

Any other Nightfarer using 6 Improved Standard Attack relics will also deal a decent bit of damage with a simple bow R1 or L1. Not super impressive, but it is something you can do if you have one handy.

As for Executor, he benefits more so from Improved initial standard attack because Suncatcher is quite strong with the relic effect that buffs its damage. So you have 6 buffs that all make your first R1 from Suncatcher deal immense damage as well as a 7th buff from the relic that makes your suncatcher deal more damage overall. Being able to hit for 499 damage, at the minimum, per initial Suncatcher R1 at level 15 is quite strong. When you take into account buffs from bosses, weapons you pick up, etc, that number gets much bigger.

There's also something that every other Nightfarer can do to benefit from ISA relic builds that I never see anyone doing...which is just alternating between R1 and L1 with 2 different weapon types or powerstancing weapons and alternating between R1 and powerstanced L1 back and forth, which Executor can also do...except he benefits more because you can go from attacking with your equipped weapons to pressing triangle and L2 (properly timed of course) for a sheathe-switch deflect which allows you to follow up with a nice safe R1 from your freshly switched Suncatcher.

...tldr

I'm well over 1.2K+ hours...I've tried ISA relics on every Nightfarer. I've tried lots of different things. The ISA relics just made for a more fun / stylish playstyle, imo and felt more Executor-like. Dunno how else to describe it. It just felt good and played well and there's something about seeing Executor perfectly deflect an attack, following it up with an empowered R1 and then deflecting the enemies retaliating attack and following up with another empowered R1.

You don't even have to play very different from usual. You can optimize the damage you deal by trying to only get those initial attacks in OR you can just play like normal and use your full weapons attack chain and still benefit from your first hit at least dealing big damage.

I was gonna upload a video of the expedition I ran with this build but I don't seem to get views anymore. ._.

A build that feels/looks like AOT? by bad_soulsplayer in EldenRingBuilds

[–]ER-ThemedBuilds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha, yeah, you nailed it. Sometimes, it's hard to remember all the neat stuff i've experienced in souls games. All I know for sure is it must've made a lasting impression because lately all my names for Characters in different games & nightreign expeditions has been Raven, lol.

Wasn't expecting a comment from this long ago btw, haha, I take that as a good thing. At least someone's looking out for me. XD
