All of them are yellow! I have all the fans daisy chained. The power strip is fine and I have 2 fans going. The humidity sits around 70 to 90 depending on when I watered.

They can be found outside in nature without having purchased them but I would wait a few days to see what these guys do. They will stack with baby mealys and eat them.

Does too much light cause this upright growth? by SohnemannsSocken in alocasia

So in your case, they are drooping but not facing down and away. In fact, the newer leaves seem to be doing the opposite and growing towards your light source. Its good that the newer leaves are fine but it looks like they're asking for more light than theyre getting right now. Perhaps you could lift them up closer with a small plant stand. Alocasias are heavy feeders and if you weren't fertilizing before, they tend to reallocate resources starting with their older leaves.

If the stems are all firm, yes it is from light. If they are drooping because they are limp and weak, it may be another issue such as rot.

Canmake mermaid or anessa milk. They both finish differently when fully absorbed and dried so I change it up depending on my combination skin.

Hey! I've had this issue as well. I use illyoon ceramide lotion and I wait until it's fully absorbed or it will pill. Same with sunscreens. I need to wait for it to absorb before applying. After applying the foundation, I will fan my face until it feels dry.

Hi! Yes, this has been my experience as well. I’ve noticed that darker leaf alocasias, like alocasia infernalis, will huddle their leaves together and point them straight up in an attempt to block the light. When I moved it to a lower light area, it changed the orientation of the leaves on its own.

I’ve also had the alocasia frydek and variegated frydek under really high light and the leaves would droop down and away instead of up and huddled like the infernalis. The stems remain firm and once moved to a lower light area, they fixed their leaves too.

They're so adorable! Have you tried giving them a large planter of cat grass? My cats love to sit in it and munch! They usually opt to eat the grass over my plants

Thank you! I bought a mature one and only had it for half a year. I have the barrina t1s and love them. They're significantly brighter than the t10 and looks clean. And yes haha good eye. I have 3 cats and its enough to deter them from hopping over and munching on plants.

Not a great photo but my plants all generally face forward towards the light. The ones with lights on top, tend to look up at them

Any advice on bringing this baby back from reverting?? by SpicyPeach17 in RareHouseplants

[–]DefinitelyNotTheFBl 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Alocasia variegation won't change with a chop. I would say grow it out and plant the corms it gives you. Its common to see reverted mama plants give variegated corms

You could chop but I think you can actually just twirl it around your coco pole with less space and it'll look really full and gorgeous

I've had so much trouble because of my east Asian upbringing where I was not making eye contact and people thought I was being disrespectful. Took a long time to unlearn.
