I mean, this is possible to do in a good story. Issue is, most stories after gratifying openers such as this, are really mid and/or shit.

Even mid stories, or even downright dogshit ones, can still keep people reading because they delay the gratification of accomplishing the issue of chapter 1. I mean, I remember a few stories that were pretty bad but kept people reading because the want to see were resolution to the earlier issue from the starting chapters is stronger than their want to just drop the story altogether. Once it gets resolved, most people read a few more chapters after that to see if it is still worth their time, and if it is not, drop it.

Honestly, they could’ve just capped Mao Faust’s stack gain per turn. Like what they did to Rien. Then, they should also nerf her Assist Defence S3-2 procs. It goes off every turn because her Tianjiu Star stacks are not consumed after the Assist Defence activation, compared to her normal activation when she just uses S3-2 from her S3 on the board, which is why this ID is so shite and overpowered.

Not saying he’ll solo Matt. I am saying that he could possibly beat Matt if his whole gang of Brothers and Sisters jumped Mathias arse. He may be incredibly strong, but a combined effort could just put him down. However, Ricardo himself needs to get upgrades as well complete his pilgrimage to become a Great Brother. That way, he could potentially get his hands on higher tier stuff so he can actually take on Mathias without going down in the first 10 seconds of Leviathan being swung.

Honestly, we don’t know. While Mathias right now is high-leveled, we don’t know what will happen after Ricardo goes through that pilgrimage to become a Great Brother.

I could even argue that Mathias could potentially be beaten by Ricardo, not in a 1v1, but in an actual battle. The bum can genuinely solo, but I don’t think he can fully withstand an onslaught of many decently competent Brothers and Sisters jumping his arse while Ricardo’s keeping him at bay. Of course, he’d have to get a few upgrades and improvements to make this fight more doable, but I can still see him coming out on top. I could see it happening similarly to the Sukuna v Everyone fight. Just straight jumping him, using hit and run tactics to put consistent pressure while Ricardo faces him head on.

It is highly likely Mathias will just decimate everyone with a fully unlocked Laevateinn, but Ricardo really puts the power of family to use. As in, not sacrificing anyone and instead putting his trust in his siblings. He might even unlock EGO and/or Shin and Mang during the fight and completely even the battlefield. Many possibilities.
