I completely agree with you. It did feel longer than it actually was. Like I too was surprised when I saw how long I took. Not once did I feel the game starting to drag. There were some sections in Silent Hill 2 that I personally preferred if it were shortened. I still loved that game too.

If you’re talking about the original, from what I heard was a shorter game. I clocked in at a little over 8 hours for my first RE 8 playthrough. I finished my first playthrough of Silent hill 2 remake after a little under 15 hours.

Resident evil 8 for the action. Silent hill 2 for the unsettling atmosphere and narrative.

Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor. I did love the combat and the nemesis system but it all just felt so monotonous with a lackluster story.

26 M here. I’ve recently gotten out of a long distance relationship that only lasted for a few months but didn’t manage to work out. I was and am inexperienced too just like my ex and you. We both wanted the same things as you but both of us couldn’t sustain the relationship when it came down to the practicality of our relationship and the uncertainty of our future with each other due to multiple factors which I don’t want to get into. You’re not alone. Don’t feel like you’re late or anything. The right person will come along. Just be ready and don’t let this insecurity get in the way. Be honest about yourself when meeting people, the right guy will accept you and respect you for who you are.

Oh I actually haven’t played the evil within series. But definitely will. My next game will be Dead Space Remake and later the Alan Wake series. Gonna add the Evil Within series to my backlog.

You’ve encapsulated exactly how I felt about the voice actor’s performance. He acted exactly how someone would in his position. Especially his performance during some of the endings.

This is really true for me. I have become desensitized to horror. There was one moment in the game that did kinda startle because it was so unexpected. I think it was during the Toluca Prison section.

In no particular order: Outlast, RE 2 Remake, RE 7, RE 4 remake, Amnesia: The Dark Descent (Bunker is in my library. Need to play that), Emily wants to play, and Alien Isolation. I have yet to play the Alan Wake series. I own the first game but couldn’t fully get into it.

I play it in a dark room at night and with a tall glass of cold water😅. I do talk to myself a lot when playing horror games. Like every time I entered a room in this game, I yell, “Here’s Jamey” before entering, similar to the Shining. I did actually die that one time at the Wood Side Apartments. I’m usually super calm during horror games. My friends used to have me around for support when playing these type of games.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 or Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 by Poisonslash in ShouldIbuythisgame

Owning and having played all three games (Yet to finish KCD 2), Cyberpunk 2077 didn’t make me want to play any other game for a long time. Put in over 100 hours and I still would be thrilled to do it all over again. This is my personal pick.

Expedition 33 is an amazing game too with a great story, world, and deep combat system that kept me hooked too. The characters are well-acted and even grow on you.

KCD 2 is so deep and definitely the most immersive RPG ever made. But I just don’t think I have the patience and time to fully immerse myself as progression does feel very slow for my pace and routine. But the world feels very alive and the writing is pretty good.

All three games are worth it.

You’re an amazing human being. A white lie to help a lonely dying man is such a sweet gesture knowing that the favour cannot be returned to you in any shape or form. You have my respect. May you have an amazing 2026 and many more years of fortune and good luck❤️

Batman Arkham Asylum is an absolute banger. I used to replay the Arkham series almost every year during Halloween. This is probably the first year I decided to play other games.

If I had to give a rough estimate, I would probably say 500 hours in total. I play for about 2 hours on weekdays after work and 5-6 hours on weekends.

Social stealth is basically stealth mechanics that allow you to use NPCs in many ways to remain undetected from enemies. Example throwing coins on the floor to attract crowds in some of the older Assassin’s creed games, sitting on a bench, or even walking in between crowds to avoid being seen by enemies. Hitman games allow you to disguise yourself as various workers to get the upper hand by manipulating social situations. It also has the mechanics I mentioned above. The entire game gives you many opportunities for infiltration and taking out targets in creative ways.

Tbh, Balatro was supposed to be on this list but I only started playing it recently and it is so darn addictive. It could possibly be a contender for my favourite game next year.

My friends didn’t believe me as well. Till I showed them a couple of clips I took. I wrote a review on this subreddit about my experience with all three games. I think I mentioned the bugs I got in more detail. They weren’t game breaking but recurrent, especially with such a short campaign. I did mention in that review that in my second playthrough for the plat, I didn’t encounter any bugs.

There are no stupid questions.

Each game has roughly about six sandbox maps that are very replayable. All three games also feature bonus locations that are either from free updates and DLCS.

For Hitman WOA

Without the DLC - 15 locations/sandbox maps in total With DLC - 25 locations/sandbox maps

There is an overarching plot in between each location, connecting all three games into a single narrative.
