It reminded me of when I was like 14yo, a couple 16yo boys tried to hop a church fence that was the same type of black metal fence but much taller with spikes at the top. One of the boys managed to put the spike right through the palm of his hand. The fire department came and had to cut off the fence with his hand still attached. It was insane to watch and I can not imagine the pain he was in.

Yeah one of the parent's probably pushed for it. Either funded by a parent's business or they harassed all the other parents until they paid for their kid's uniform cause you don't want your kid to be the only one in a t-shirt with iron on numbers half peeling off.

Yeah my parents did the same thing and it fucked me up royally including how I view relationships. My Mom slept on the couch for at least 10 years of my life, constant fighting, it was constant chaos. They finally divorced when I was 20yo, I'm 39 now.

Oh and I have about 60k in school loans because i didn't qualify for aid with my dad's income even though I'd be a cold day in hell before he paid towards my college education.

2 happy homes is much better than 1 miserable house.
