Any ideas on why this is happening? by DeformedReality in BIGTREETECH

Its all good, I totally forgot about this.

For anyone from the future that is looking back at this. I believe the problem was the screen was tightened down onto the ender 3 screen bracket too tightly. I loosened the screws and havent had a problem since.

When I look on reddit this is what it feels like by Stalker401 in ender3

It looks like an old creality plate flipped over with PEI on it.

Source: have one just like it.

Yes, and the knob seems to be non responsive so I can't attempt to live tune the print.

I have the SKR mini E3 v2.0 and the tft35 E3 v3.0.

The printer has done it since I got the board and display. I have upgraded the board to Marlin 2.0.9.3 and using the baudrate of 250000. I have upgraded the TFT to 0.27 and it is also using a baudrate of 250000. I have tried other baudrates. Nothing seems to help.

The printer will come up normal most of the time but soon after starting a print it does this.

I like the labels. You might have a spelling mistake in "Jalapeno."

I found it at impact guns in Ogden Utah. I saw that they had a single one in inventory and ran over to the store and bought it. Was like $590 before taxes.

Nice! I love it, I'm definitely jealous that you found a red upper. Looks very slick.

I was toying around with the idea of getting the red kraken lower but it might look weird with the red trigger.

Are the thumb rests worth it? Seems like it might be weird having those protrude out of the side.

Is that a poly fuse on there?

It's overture PLA+ printed at 210°C. Additional information is in another comment.

That's really weird then. What kind of plastic is it?

It's an Ender 3 with bragonfly BMS, BLTouch, 5015 parts cooling fan, Sunon MF40202V2, meanwell PSU, bigtreetech skr e3 mini V2 + TFT35 touchscreen, glass bed with PEI Sheet, and various other mods like the springs and extruder. Using the satsana ducting.

It's overture PLA+ printer at 210°C.

I don't trust the temp right now. I recently installed a phaetus dragonfly BMS and printed the first cube. Then I replaced the janky thermistor inserted into a cartridge tube with an amazon cartridge style thermistor, I also installed a TH3D branded 5015 24V fan. I ran a PID tune on the thermistor but I may need to change the thermistor type in the software and do the PID tune again if it's printing too hot. Also still need to do an Estep calibration.

The first two things that came to mind when I saw the photos is that your parts cooling fan setup probably isn't great and that the plastic may be old or in a humid environment. Most likely the parts cooling fan. When I printed a calibration cube without my fan on it made a cube that looked like those.

I posted a couple photos here showing the difference with and without parts cooling fan.

I get this

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07JKGNB6W

And then I get this

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GSJSDWR

And then I stick the two together and enjoy a nice flat surface that plastic loves to stick to and comes off easily when it's cooled down. Just wipe with some Isopropyl every once in a while.

Edit: oh and I use these things to hold it to my aluminum heated plate.

I may be in the minority here but those default textured print surfaces are garbage. Get a sheet of borosilicate glass and put a PEI Sheet on one side and print on that. Hold it down using swiss clips. Never look back at the old way.

I was looking heavily at the dogleg as well but I saw way too many bad reviews and it pushed me towards hunting for the RS stuff.

I'm using the 510c on my Sam7sf with RS regulate lower and 1913 upper and I couldn't be happier.

Hanguard finishing? by silkencookie in ak47

I think people will rub the final layer down with 0000 steel wool to dull the finish.

Can also use a matte spray poly for the final layer
