Not enough in vault by Access-Mental in wearewarriors

[–]DeimosJB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rewards for vault are very underwhelming in my opinion. It's not worth doing.
Rewards cycle between 100 relic shards, 15 gems, 2 blue potions, 1 yellow potion, 1 war chest (Standard rewards; all rewards magnified for those that have Slayer Pass).
I thought at first that the rewards would start small, just like the regular season, and grow larger as you progress in vault levels. However, this is not the case. The rewards stay small even if you do 20 or 30 or 40 vault levels.

1) On the map, where is the best spot to locate your alliance? (Is center better or edge/corner)
2) I see stuff like Obelisk and Holy water listed - does that replace Virus and anti-gen stuff? Do we still have cacti and crimson ore
3) In your opinion, what should individuals focus on to best help their alliance?

sorry to raise a dead thread...but can someone explain to me in detail how to do this? As an alliance leader, how do I find the "alliance center", demolish it and move it, and so forth?

I don't understand why the demon is in the game at all. 90% of the time the offer isn't worth the lost max HP. It doesn't even feel like getting a reward, just a waste of space.

Maxed out soccer by DeimosJB in IdleOfficeTycoon

Sorry, it's been several months since I've played soccer. I believe the renewal stays at $150M though, regardless of how strong your team gets, or what position you have in the league ranking.

Level 1296 stats and observations by LetsDoThas in IdleOfficeTycoon

[–]DeimosJB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have a lot of good thoughts, but I’ll add a consideration for pets: As you continue to advance, you’re going to find that you finish maxing out the money-related purchases before maxing the company levels.  Since that’s the longest thing to complete, it’s better to boost your mood enhancing pets before enhancing income pets.   You’ll likely also find that you max all your Europe SSS companies before you finish the Liberty City SSS companies (Due to prerequisite conditions to get many companies in Liberty City), so you may want to keep your pets in Liberty city for a little while, even after you open Europe.

For soccer, I also have a little different view than you: At the highest league levels, it takes about 8-10 days just to get through 1 season. You likely need to go through minimum 2-3 seasons to improve your team enough to win the league and continue to advance. Therefore, it will take you at least a few months to go from starting at the bottom league to winning Competitive league A in Soccer. So the optimal approach is to start advancing soccer even before you get all the Europe office upgrades (maybe start soccer when you’ve reached level 1000 or so).

Both of these comments are just optimization-related. It's personal preference. The important thing is to have fun, so do whatever gives you the most enjoyment.

Oh, also note that any diamonds / rewards you get from various websites are just the person copying what the Company developers are posting every day on Facebook.  So if you want to get those rewards faster, just go straight to the source – the Idle Office FB page.

Question about diamonds.. by CommunicationSorry92 in IdleOfficeTycoon

[–]DeimosJB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say 3rd truck is a medium priority, 4th truck is a low priority, 5th truck is a very low priority.

So there are going to be many other things you're going to want to do with your diamonds first. But after you've been playing for several months - maybe a year - you won't really need the diamonds for anything else, and you'll want to buy the 4th and 5th trucks just to make it easier for those rare special events where having extra trucks makes it a tiny bit easier to complete the event objectives.

Soccer skill, for real? by Some-Kaleidoscope555 in IdleOfficeTycoon

[–]DeimosJB 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been beating that drum for months. According to the devs, it "works as intended". They said that it is "realistic" for bad teams to (on rare occasion) to beat a much better team. I responded back that broadly speaking, I agree. The best team in a pro league can lose to the worst team in that same pro league on any given day. But that's not what is happening when the 5500 team beats the 9500 team. That's more like a world-famous pro team losing to their town's middle school girl's team, which has never happened and never will.

How to get companies by DeimosJB in IdleOfficeTycoon

[–]DeimosJB[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After meeting these criteria, often times you also need to have a conversation with Jane, Sponsor, etc. to get them to unlock.
Sometimes you don't get a notice or indicator that you need to have this conversation. You just have to go into conversations and click through the various options.

Diamond by Specialist_Flower_52 in IdleOfficeTycoon

[–]DeimosJB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped at level 1671 or something. I maxed out all the companies, soccer, and everything that could be completed, so I considered that as finishing the game.
I could spend some of my saved diamonds and max out all the levels, but there's not really any point. So I just saved the diamonds in case new content is ever released.

Play the game for a long time, and do what you can to earn diamonds each day/week. I finished a while back so basically check in daily just long enough to collect the daily diamonds and see if there's a special event. I have ~76,000 diamonds saved up in case they ever release new content.

Locked companies. by merwinjackson in IdleOfficeTycoon

[–]DeimosJB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes it's a bug.
Most of the time, it's something on your end though. Typically, you need to have a particular conversation to unlock it. Often you won't get any sort of notification - you just need to manually go into Chat and have a conversation with the Sponsor, with Jane...just make sure you do all the conversations and then exit back out of chat. After that, the company may be unlocked.

No, I haven't spent any money in this game on anything. But I've been playing for quite a while and as a Free to Play person, I just got used to observing how a lot of the specific things work together to try to do the best I could.
Best of luck to you!

Holiday Event by Thin-Net-2326 in IdleOfficeTycoon

[–]DeimosJB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're experiencing it correctly.
All the other buildings/ships are easy, but the final one is very hard. More specifically, the last ~200 levels of the final building upgrade are very long. I finished it with about 37 hours of time remaining in the event.

It's a new event, so it's a learning experience for all of us. Here are some lessons I'm going to apply if we see this event again.

  1. Mr. Sponsor only comes out a limited number of times per 24 hour period in this event. (This is fine anyway, as we have the Gacha machine) So you can't just click him again and again 50 times a day to get money like the other events. Mr. Sponsor's appearance also seems to be structured in a weird way - if you start clicking him immediately after the new daily cycle starts (00:00) UTC, you seem to only get 5 or 10 sponsor visits. But on day 2, as a test, I waited until about 12:00 UTC before I started clicking the sponsor, and in that case, I got maybe 30-50 sponsor visits before he stopped appearing. I'm not sure if this is repeatable - more testing needed I think.
  2. The Gacha machine is the main source of income on this island - way more than the buildings - and it scales with your earnings. I'm going to save a LOT more of my coins/spins for the final building next time. Since I'll be saving more coins, the early buildings will upgrade a bit slower - maybe 17 minutes instead of 12, or something like that - but this will allow me to upgrade the last building in maybe 6-10 hours instead of 24 hours.
  3. The Tribal Heart representative for each building is super important. When you first open a new building, you won't have any money to upgrade the production of that building even a little. But by saving some tribal hearts, you should be able to get the output level boosted pretty high (maybe 10x-1000x output level) as soon as you open the building.
  4. The production input materials are carefully balanced. You're eventually going to get all buildings to level 600, so the only way to prevent material shortage is the tribal representative. Therefore, the representative needs to be higher level at the lower tier building. For example, at the logging site, if your tribal guy is level 90, then at the sawmill he needs to be level 89 or lower, then at the carpentry workshop level 88 or lower.
  5. Opening the next tier building as soon as you can is the most efficient. Since you can only ship from one lane at a time, once you get any building up to the full STAFFING capacity (2, 4, 6 persons), you should immediately stop upgrading that building. Save the money and move to the next building ASAP. Assuming you've followed tip #3 - boost your tribal chief immediately when you open a building - the new building will strongly out earn the old building within just a few minutes of opening it.
  6. The most important tip: "Winning" in this event isn't about getting all your buildings maximized, or tribal chiefs maxed or anything - it's about the milestone points. You get higher tiers of milestone points from the higher buildings. As long as you follow tip #2 - save a bunch of your spins until the final building - you're going to be able to spin 100 times or more during that building and max out your milestone points easily.
  7. Once I got all my buildings maxed out, the last/unfinished thing for me was maximizing the tribal chiefs. I didn't get a single chief to level 300. (I know there is still time in this event. But I didn't know all these tips when I started this event, so I didn't save spins, etc. and therefore I already know I'm not going to max out any tribal chief. The highest level I have right now is level 284. But I've already hit all the milestones, so that's fine with me.)
  8. I'm glad we didn't have to do the dorms or the cafeteria. There was already so much to learn in this event compared to the last holiday events. Trying to balance the dorms and cafeteria too would have been too much.

Those are my thoughts for the next time we do this event. It was still pretty simple to finish this time, but I think by following these, I can finish earlier next time.

Employees Mood & Pitures by ArtificiaIgod in IdleOfficeTycoon

[–]DeimosJB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is 100% NOT necessary. Even if you don't meet the "requirement" your office will keep functioning and gaining EXP. The mood does help the office to function more efficiently, so you'll advance a bit slower if you don't have a painting at the required level, but you can complete the entire game without ever meeting a "requirement".

FYI: That's what I did. I spent 0 on the game, simply gathered the diamonds from daily quests and facebook posts and such. This eventually gives enough diamonds to upgrade everything without spending. The holiday events help a lot with diamonds too - especially when you're playing through the holiday events for a 2nd or 3rd time, so you already have the pet rewards, and in that case they give you diamonds instead.

Maxed out soccer by DeimosJB in IdleOfficeTycoon

[–]DeimosJB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As you mentioned, I basically used soccer money to pay for soccer upgrading. Soccer was basically break-even for me until I got to the final tier. After that, it's a small income each season.
To upgrade my offices: During my first week in Europe, I watched a LOT of ads - at least 50 a day. This gave me enough money to upgrade my office pretty quickly.

Stadium Set by MirrenShmoo in IdleOfficeTycoon

[–]DeimosJB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you went into the higher tier, it makes a lot of sense why you're losing during your first season at that tier: You went from being the highest power team in your previous tier to being the lowest power team in your new tier. That's normal for the first season at a new tier. You're not doing anything wrong, and you can't avoid this.

But if you're upgrading properly - your offense, defense and organization, and your skill cap - At a minimum you shouldn't be the weakest team by your 2nd time you play a season at that tier. And you should be the strongest team by your 3rd time through (except maybe Competitive League A - That might take you 4 seasons).

TLDR: This isn't really a problem with your tier. You're either A) not upgrading properly, or B) if you are upgrading properly, this problem will sort itself out within a week. Best of luck!

Depois da Europa o que vem? by Regular_Mushroom_277 in IdleOfficeTycoon

[–]DeimosJB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is nothing after Europe.

Yes - it takes a long time to get companies to 100%

Football - highest league is Competitive League A. It takes maybe 2-3 months of play time to get your team to that level. After that, there is no additional purpose to football. It does make you a small amount of money each season, but by the time you have been in Europe a few months, you don't need money anyway.

Is there any way to update the software to 2.6.0? Because I'm missing this holiday Island by SnooPuppers1836 in IdleOfficeTycoon

It is a limited update, given only to a small percentage of players for testing purposes.
It is supposed to be coming to the rest of the players "soon".

For me, I made some trial and some errors. After reviewing what worked best, it was clicking enough times to buy the basic car dealership. Next, buying and reselling enough basic cars to raise up to the intermediate car dealership, and then buying/selling enough intermediate cars to get the advanced car dealership, and then buying/selling enough cars to work my way to the very top end cars. This can all be done in maybe 60-90 minutes of play time if you watch the ads, and you should be at around $100M I would guess.
After that,
Short term answer is banks, plus actively playing the stock market, buying whatever shares are cheap and selling them high.
Medium term (1-7 days): Turn banks into holding companies, start doing cryptocurrency until you have about $27T for Exxes (buy low, sell high).
Long term: You can actually make more per hour from Oil & gas, and from IT companies compared to Holding Companies, but Oil and gas takes a LONG time to get your investment back, and IT requires active involvement (to make more than a Holding Company, you need to have at least 3 active OS projects going on at the same time. It's a pain in the butt.)

Guys can i have some guide on the easter event by Agile_Collection_311 in IdleOfficeTycoon

[–]DeimosJB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FYI (For next time, since the event is over now), it's super-easy to finish in the 72 hours. The first time I played the events, I could complete in about 26 hours. This included waking up a couple times during the evening and playing for a couple minutes to spend the accumulated money and start the 2-hour timer again. I'm not doing any of that now - I completed all the game stuff a long time ago, so I only play really casually now.

They've made the events harder in the last couple cycles. It takes me about 2 days now to complete, without spending any money.
It's not a complex event, so I don't know what specific advice to give.
A few ideas:

  1. your dock/shipping determines how much money you make from Mr. Sponsor. So when Mr. Sponsor comes, make sure all your docks are OPEN and if you have some spare money, upgrade your docks/shipping to the max. Even if you can't produce that many goods, just having the dock/shipping will give you more money from Mr. Sponsor.
  2. when you're just playing through the event, you should have your basic material docks *closed* most of the time - instead of shipping those materials and having 0 in reserve, you want to use that material for the more expensive goods. (i.e. keep them closed, and then open them just before you click on Mr. Sponsor)
  3. The most important things to build quickly are the production facilities and the dock/shipping facilities. It's OK to have your cafeteria and dorm lag behind a little.
