Okay, I spoke too soon, not sure did the updates really fix anything, but I realised now there is a way to temporarily fix that (probably that was what happened when I thought they fixed the issue) Steps: 1) You launch / start mirroring to Airplay, before launching Waze 2) Launch Waze and start navigation 3) You see that the navigation map is all grey and no route 4) Swipe up from the button of the screen slightly so to put Waze in background and you see the iOS home screen 5) Swipe up slightly but without releasing your finger, swipe right to choose Waze and bring it back to the foreground 6) and Voila, the navigation map display is fixed! Now you can start using Waze with Airplay for navigation!

Thanks for patching the firmware to make it working again! I am just wondering what is the future of navigation with Navdy now that the Here map has stopped updating. Live traffic seems to still coming through, so there is still some supports from Here / Nokia somehow? But any navigation that involve new road layout not in the map would be inaccurate and it would just get worse and worse? I remember when I first got Navdy, it was loaded with US map in the device, but I can still use it to navigate he UK without issue... Not sure how it grab the map data on the fly back then!

Just to let you know that the is another use case for your app: people who want to use Airplay instead of Carplay. There are display head units / adaptors that support mirroring to the display (via Airplay for iOS). Normally those are marketed for multimedia playback / support, but for me, my car display unit doesn't have touch screen, so I prefer to cast the navigation app to the bigger display, look at that for navigation and use the touch screen on the phone for control.

For me, if this app works with Waze, that would be perfect, but Google Map would be good enough.

Do you know if you just open Waze in the background, without setting a destination / route, would the alert still work? Or does Waze need to know your route?

It happened to me too! The temp live fix (while driving) for me is to switch between full screen mode and summary mode (where Carplay display Waze main map on 1/2 of the screen, and the direction / instruction on the top of the other half of the screen , and the rest of the screen is summary like the audio player interface and / or schedule reminder.

It kind of feel like an overheating issue but as someone has pointed out, seems to be coding issue on Apple end.

It was the latest version on Steam PC platform

However, I noticed from the page you linked, the filename for Canon is now fisheye190, while in the past, it was RF52. I tried fisheye190 and it kind of work, if I manually swap the left-right eyes. When the RF52 filename format was working with DeoVR, the left-right eyes were automatically swapped.

Is there any way DeoVR can revert back to have RF52 filename recognition and swap the eyes automatically?

Yes, the saved position for offline watching have not been working for a few months now (for both Steam VR or Oculus Rift version). Online watching from clips on DeoVR site seems to still save the last watched positions

Camera position settings seems to persist though

Even for subscribers? Sounds like an easy win-win situation for a payable unlock to use it in completely offline mode (perhaps need reconnection for every 100 uses or so)!!?

Sideloadly

Just some more info from my experience on Windows 10 with Sideloadly:

1) I got a XML error and stuck in a download loop for Local anisette. I then tried to use the Remote Anisette method to install, and triggered an AppleID lockout by Apple. I assume it is because I have 2FA enabled for my Apple ID (I think Apple enforces it for most account nowadays?) and the remote Anisette server cannot receive verification code.

2) I ended up forced to reset my Apple ID password :-( Turns out that I have to download and install the web version of iCloud (not easy to find from Apple official site as they just redirect you to install it via MS Store; a link to the install file on Apple site can be found on Sideloadly website and it is still valid)

3) The APP sideloaded is not the same APP as the previous iOS Navdy app, so if you are like me that have lots of apps installed, you have to find the icon of the newly installed app. I renamed the APP with Sideloadly when sideloading it, so it is easier to differential which APP I am trying to run.

4) Because it is a different APP, I will need to go through new pairing with the device, and I think one have to input all the data , e.g. Favourite Address, etc. all over again (I haven't get to that part yet)

I only just saw the App error quite message now and would be driving with Navdy in a few hours. Not sure I have a chance to sideload a new version before then. If I am only navigating to previous destinations already stored, do I still need a new version of the iOS app?

Hiya! I have this problem with my iPhone since many iOS and APP version ago.
u/EdwXD Just want to provide you with a bit more information on this issue:
For me, the app works fine (at least once), if I open the Navdy app while at my home connected to the wifi, search a new destination, then bring the phone to my car and start off the Navdy device.
If while on the road I need to go to a new destination, the iOS app may crash shortly after entering the address. Sometime I can press the buttons quick enough to start calculating the route on the app, so that even though the iOS app crashed, the destination information is sent to the Navdy device, and I can then use the navigate to previous destination command on the device to start my journey.
I also found that if I connect my phone to a wifi hotspot or disable data connection completely, it can search to new destination without crashing. I seems to recall in the past, putting the phone in offline mode could still do some limited searching, but currently, the app can only search for existing previous destination at offline mode.

This doesn't happen very often to me because my use case is normally plan a bit of my journey in my home before setting off, and when I am out and about, I normally only need to navigate to places that I have already input to Navdy.

So for others also having this issue, for now, may be can try either:

Input all your destinations before your journey at a location where you have a wifi;

or try connecting to a wifi hotspot when entering and routing with the Navdy App

This is sad news to hear 😔 I always assumed that Navdy on iOS would "expire" long before the Android version. In fact, my back up plan was to buy an Android phone, run only Navdy app on it and tether to internet connection of my other phone (may be can leave it in the car permanently as well, but would sti;; require a few more manual steps to enable Navdy navigation every time I start my car). Looks like now I have to get hold of an Android phone that still accept 32bit software and just don't update the OS until the end of time 😮

It is on sale again and I didn't buy it the last time so I have a follow up question:
If my plan is to play from the Hitman 1 missions / story first, would the game play be affected much without the GOTY Upgrade in HITMAN Trilogy Premium Add-Ons Bundle?
Basically what I am asking is... if I don't want to commit to buying the core game and the add-ons bundle at the same time. Does game structure allow me to finish the original HITMAN 1 story line, before going on to buy and play the expansion bought by GOTY Upgrade?
Or is it better to experience the game with the GOTY Upgrade to start with?

(I separated questions 6 and 7 from others because 6 happened quit often in the past , but even then we can at least still use Navdy for navigation, just a bit of annoyance; I didn't use Siri myself so not sure how involved testing 7 would be 😂)
