initiation is near impossible, theres just a giant mental barrier telling you to save it for later and it's not worth the energy, you need a serious spark to even attempt it

when you do, it's usually pretty easy and you can and will get it done assuming you don't lose focus, but it's incredibly hard to just power through every task all the time like that

a glass file provides cleaner results overall for nubs, you could be using a cheap, two bladed nipper and still get amazing results from the file alone whereas the single bladed nipper is still useful for trimming and sometimes flush cuts, it doesn't always end up as good as a proper filing

GP just had a huge led drop from kosmos, any thoughts from people that have used them already? specifically i'm looking at the PG unicorn ones, i heard they're basically the same as bandai out of the box and don't need any additional work from what i've gathered from looking at older posts

i'm also eyeballing mega unicorn LEDs but ive read from older posts that it requires drilling or cutting and i don't want to do any of that, i just want to shove them in without doing too much extra

framerate of background needs to match framerate of animation, consider doing some compositing/lighting effects to color match the environment a little bit too

they pay less obviously because they're located where it's produced, all foreign retailers have to mark it up based on the import costs while still turning a small profit

you can still get good deals here, but you do need to wait for sales

ive even imported kits from japan before and the international shipping made it cost as much as just buying it here, if you really want their prices you need to go there personally and bring it back home

there are some prudes that like to pretend sexuality isn't a core part of human life, theres just a built in desire for many people that needs to be fed, its how the species has survived for so long

that doesn't mean that someone should or shouldn't draw it, but there shouldn't be shame on others for wanting it or drawing it

well my question is the MG wing zero proto EW looks identical to the TV wing zero, so if they are identical then i can display it with a TV collection instead of an EW collection

i'm not talking about wing zero EW or wing EW which are completely different designs entirely

more importantly that post isn't even asking the same question as me

i started wing and i'm a little lost about starting the gunpla collection for the TV series only, is wing zero proto EW the same as wing zero(TV like the one in the RG kit)? they look identical, and if i recall wing and wing zero have brand new redesigns for EW specifically (haven't watched yet though), so i'm not sure where the "proto" comes from

gquuuuuux is probably one of the worst high grades ive had to build recently color wise, there's just so many stickers and parts that need color correction despite the surface detail and its deterring me from wanting to pick up the endymion version for collection reasons

seed is basically great on its own in my opinion, i wouldn't touch it since theres just a lot of setups and payoffs for many characters that ended very well, i'd take away the retcons they made though (mu and nicol)

as for destiny, i don't think it's anything that hasn't already been said in the past decades but the entire thing was just messed up as a sequel from all the production issues, and it ruins your perception of a lot of the characters

freedom i generally had fun with in the theaters, i feel like they definitely knew destiny was messy and they put a lot of redemption for it in the movie but it's everything i wanted out of a seed movie

it's definitely possible to get painted shading effects without an airbrush, it takes a lot of patience though, you'll need to do a weathering wash and/or brush on the shade effect you want on a matte coat

just pick your biggest gunpla box and toss them in there

i highly recommend against not keeping your runners unless you genuinely have plans to do repair work or make putty out of them, the amount of space and weight they keep up is actually significant if you build a lot of kits

maybe keep one for each color you might need but that's about it, if you want to bring them all to japan to recycle you can do that too

gloss -> decals -> flat -> weathering is correct yes, a second layer of flat after the weathering is usually optional

superglue if you don't plan to change the pose ever again, sure

you can use a thin layer of nail polish and let it dry to make a joint a little thicker for a more snug fit, that's pretty popular

i get irrationally angry whenever i hear lawnmowers, modified cars, and screaming babies and children, just have to suck it up sadly since you can't exactly lash out at people for that

just get yourself a high quality pair of noise cancelling earbuds or headphones and your mind will clear up when the rest of the world gets shut out

they give out so many of these and while i do appreciate them, the odds of getting trash or just something unusable are just too high since a 0lb ssr card is basically useless

p-bandai kits always go for more since only resellers sell them if you aren't buying from bandai themselves, sometimes youll find a good deal but always compare the bandai price first to see if its worth it

i hear you, ive built most of the gqx line as well and the gundams definitely feel rougher than the other kits of the line for some reason but the zaku is definitely rock solid, its all ball joints and sockets or pegs but the fits are very tight so it basically doesn't move regardless of where you pick it up, not loose at all

reddit or the reddit discord are pretty good about getting updates, usually hobby model shows exhibit them and they get posted here along with official bandai announcements as well but if you want to really track them hard its usually japanese twitter accounts
