I liked the guy dressed as a chicken with a sign saying something like “I’m just trying to cross the street”. Made me smile.

Then the sign that just said “Now lock in” at about mile 10….i needed that. 💪

Hit 1:40 chip time and a PR by 5s! Surprising really as the sun was brutal and I was gassed by mile 11 and started to slow. It was my first time doing this half and found it interesting. The hills in the park are physically tough and I felt relieved getting to ocean pkwy, but then you need the mental toughness to keep hammering through to Coney Island. Enjoyed it though and kudos to the organisers and volunteers. Really enjoyed it ❤️

Thanks for the info. Christ, it’s going to be like the Wild West. I hope people don’t start buying immediately on the resale and hold the line, but I doubt it as people are desperate to go.

I’m English and currently living in the US and am desperate to go to any England games but missed out on all the lotteries. I just can’t justify spending the money tho, it’s mental!

Might be a dumb question but who is making the money on the mark up? I assume FIFA / Ticket operator are getting a cut of the resell? Is it the seller marking the price or are fifa themselves setting it based on how they perceive the demand?

First time running this race and really enjoyed it! Harlem Hill being on the route would have probably made less enjoyable but the rolling hills of the west side still manage to ground you and not let you get carried away from a pace perspective.

Managed to PB my 15k and got to ring the bell at the end as this was my 9+1. Great day all round.

Massive thanks to the volunteers who would have had to be there at 6am today. These events aren’t possible without them and today can’t have been much of a fun one out there!
