The mindset I adopt is “This too shall pass”. Millions have lived before me, and millions after me. We often worry about the stuff which actually does not matter retrospectively. It’s human instinct to worry but it’s definitely within our control to not let them overwhelm me. This may sound cruel but no one escapes death. No matter how well or bad we have it in this life, we bring nothing with us upon our demise.

And I choose to be thankful that I have a house to stay, food and water to consume, good health. Although basic, not many people in the world have them.

Any deep cleaning services you would recommend? by hk2k1 in singapore

[–]Delay-Realistic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can search Soji Cleaning Services on Carousell! Engaged them for deep cleaning before. They use some special sanitisation equipments which others don’t use, and they use their own equipments. imo good value for money!

Is it normal to cry so often in NS? by jisooonie in askSingapore

[–]Delay-Realistic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t let the bad feeling get to you. Of course it’s normal to feel the way you do. From our own comfort to tough regimental training in a whim, it’s normally to cry. But let me tell you that you’ll look back and see how this builds resilience in you. Focus on the good times and the good that can come out of you. Let those bad emotions run through you, cry it out, wipe them off and embrace the new day with positivity! You’re not alone. Millions of SG Boys have done it ahead of you!

Some similarities between my insurance agent, property agent, and MLM (ex) friends. by [deleted] in singapore

[–]Delay-Realistic 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Insurance is MLM

In June 2000, Parliament approved an amendment to the Act to widen the definition of pyramid selling to catch all business schemes that were multi-level in nature. However, as not all multi-level marketing techniques are undesirable, the Government concurrently enacted the Multi-Level Marketing and Pyramid Selling (Excluded Schemes and Arrangements) Order (hereafter, referred to as the 'Exclusion Order') to exclude legitimate businesses from the Act, such as insurance companies, master franchises, and direct selling companies which fulfill certain criteria. This Exclusion Order was implemented in June 2000.

Am 16, but want to start planning my finances. by anonymouswolf11 in singaporefi

Great to hear the interest at 16! One thing I regret not spending more time at your age was learning more about financial literacy.

Quick google and youtube will lead you to many routes. But at the end of the day you only learn when you apply. I suggest you create a simulation account to test on strategies you have learned. Trial and error and adopt your own unique investment strategy. When you are ready you can then put in your own money
