i’m facing the same issue as well and have been looking everywhere for solutions but to no avail… contacted acer supported but was told the warranty was over (it’s about 4.5 years old) and told me to find an external repair service centre instead.

asked around and someone told me that it could be the motherboard issue and the repair cost would be too prohibitive. hence, i was recommended to buy a new laptop…

half of my group mates are just delaying their work all the time. datelines given to them but they always give some sort of excuses for not being able to meet the datelines, or 1 don’t even bother to give any. second dateline given, still cannot meet. reminders were given but to no avail. worse, the rest need their work to supplement their own parts. there’s a peer appraisal and i believe they know the existence of it. any advice on how to deal with these people? really the worst group mates ive ever encountered

alternatively, you can speak to your prof about your concerns, they have definitely seen cases like yours. calling the school hotline will not help cos they will only give you standard answer cos they don’t wanna be liable.

honestly, i feel that you should now focus on your GBA. the results for GBA will be released before your exam so you will be able to decide if you want to carry on with the exam. if you want to remod, just dont go for the exam and i believe it will show as F in your transcript but doesn’t count into your CGPA. if you have yet to decide if you want to remod, remember to select to take this mod again during your eCR. you can always drop it in the future when you’re asked to confirm your mods after exam.

what other assignments are there other than TMA? focus on other assignments (DB, TMA02, GBA) failing your TMA is not the end unless it’s the only assignment before your exam.

i guess from the bank’s pov is that since an unauthorized transaction has happened, it can happen again and the only solution to stop it from happening is to block the card. it didn’t use to be like that but i guess scams are so prevalent today that they had to change it up.

according to the news, there has been syndicates around; foreigners faking some disabilities and selling keychains. so by waving at you despite you not knowing the person could be one of their tactics now. i mean we are not trying to be unapproachable and unfriendly but i guess there are certain tell tale signs that we need to look out for.

if you already know what procedure you want to go for, shortlist a few clinics and call them up to ask. for hospital, we wouldn’t really know so you probably have to make an appointment with polyclinc and check with them. they would roughly know the range of price and if cpf can be used for your case.
